Chapter 3 - It's a Funny Story, Pt. 1

Zed's POV

As we sent Zoey to my place, Eliza drags me and Wyatt to her place. As she opens her door, Ms. Zambi is shown in the kitchen, cooking up dinner." Hey sweetie! How was your hangout?" Ms. Zambi asked.

" Fine Mom." Eliza answered shortly. As we headed up to her room, she shuts the door, pushed us on her bed, and started." Alright. Both of you. Speak. Now. Or else I will take off my Z-Band, and y'all won't be seeing tomorrow morning." I looked at Wyatt. He did the same, but looked down at Eliza's boots. I start.

" Eliza, promise me you won't tell Addison, please."

" How can I keep one if I don't know what's going on?!" Eliza asks.

" Just please." I begged.

She sits on the floor, crisscrossed." Go on." She said.

" Well... Let's just say that the night Addison asked us to join her, and you and Bonzo refused. Well... since I wasn't busy like y'all, I accepted her offer. And... Well... I catched up with Wyatt here, and umm... We... We... Well, we..."

" WE KISSED EACH OTHER, OKAY?!!" Wyatt finished my explaination.

The room went silent. Me and Wyatt stared at the ground, as we both felt Eliza's stare.

" You what...?" Eliza asked.

I looked up to her eyes and told her," We kissed..."

As what I could tell, Eliza was taking this more seriously than she ever took anything else. Her and Addison are close friends, and now with her knowing that her close friend's boyfriend just cheated on her close friend with a werewolf, she must have her heart shattered... or not, idk, she's a zombie, would she have one?? Anyways, after a good 5 minutes of silence, Eliza stood up, and opened the door.

"Wyatt... You're free to leave..." Eliza spoke calmly. Wyatt looks at me, then up and out. As Eliza closes the door, she looks at me, still shocked.

" Who kissed who first, exactly?" Eliza asked me. I felt my undead soul sank to my stomach.

" ... I... I kissed him, first..." I informed her.

We stayed there for another good minute or two. Then that's when she broke.

" So all that time you spent with her... wasted..."

" WHAT?! NO, no, It's not like that! Eliza, trust me..." I tell her as I stand from her bed.

" Then how else is it?!" Eliza asked me aloud.

" I... I don't know, but what I DO know, is that it's not like that. Please Eliza, don't tell Addison... if she found out anything about me and Wyatt, she'd be heartbroken..."

" Well isn't that how relationships are supposed to work? Or am I only smart with technology?" Eliza tells me, almost fixing to break into tears.

" Eliza..."

Eliza turns away and opens the door." Just go... we'll work on your Z-Band another time..."

I stand there, wishing she can just close the door back, and say," psyche," but no... she didn't. So I left her room, down the stairs, and out the door.

As I head home, I see Zoey sitting outside, on the front porch. I run up to her." Hey, why aren't you in bed? It's past curfew." I informed her.

As she saw me, she stood up and came to hug me." It's my puppy... It's gone..." she whimpered." After dinner with dad, he just went up and out! Dad tried looking for him all around Seabrook, but nowhere to be found..."
