"No??" You repeated in disbelief, seeing the man proceed to talk ahead of you, passing a blue painted rooster weather vane.

"Chris!" You ran to catch up to him, "Didn't you hear what Wesker said? Their's a huge monster thing out there, and he said to avoid it. Why do you wanna go find it??"

"I know what Wesker said," Chris retorted, stopping in his tracks as a large, double gate fence door stopped them from traveling any further. Two strange dog statues were on the opposite end of the gates, perfectly aligned with eachother. Each dog had three different heads, reminding you of a certain mythical beast you read about in books, but the name was far lost in your mind at the moment.

"But their has to be something out there in that cabin. We need to look everywhere for Bravo team, leave no stone unturned." Chris insisted, looking over at you. You frowned, thinking how this whole idea was just a bad one in general. Wesker said, despite the faulty signal, to avoid the cabin in the woods and a supposed monster in chains. Maybe that's the sound you heard back at the mansion, the woman's groaning in particular.

"Look, I'm not saying you have to come along," Chris began, understanding how you clearly appeared against his need to disobey their captain's orders. "If you want, you can go back to the mansion and wait there-"

"That's a worse idea than going out there in general!" You stated, crossing your arms slowly. You weren't just gonna let your partner go into the woods, towards a cabin with a possible monster in chains lurking about, especially alone.

"I might as well just go with you, don't want you facing what ever the hell's out there alone anyway."

Chris smiled a little, finding your slightly apprehensive attitude a bit humorous and cute.
"You getting soft on me now?" He said in a teasing manner, making you huff out a chuckle.

"Oh please, it's clearly been proven that even Alpha team's point man needs someone to watch their back."

"Good point." Chris smirked with a chuckle of his own, turning his attention back over to the gate right in front of them. "Guess we should start climbing then."

"Way ahead of you." You approached the left steel gate door, raising to grab onto one of the curved metal bars before pulling yourself up, digging your feet into any place you could get a proper foot hold. Chris did the same on the right door, both of you landing at approximately the same time on the other side of the gate. He winced slightly upon landing due to his wound, but he informed you that he was alright before you two proceeded on.

On the other side were various uniform tombstones, laying perfectly in straight rows. A crow or two was perched on one of the stones as you slowly walked past them, making strange eye contact with you. Usually the birds would just take off, but the crows remained despite how close you walked by the tomb stones, glaring at you with almost grotesque looking beady eyes.

Their was another gate at the end of the area, which thankfully was unlocked, sparing you the time it took to climb over it like you had done with the first one. Chris allowed you to walk through first, your gun clutched in your hand now containing a death grip as you heard a distinctive, almost agonizing loud groan.

You froze in your step, your eyes locked on the distance ahead of you. The woman's groan lingered for at least a few seconds, sounding heavy, croaked and dragged. Accompanying the cry was the sounds of ragged chains, cutting through the air like thin needles through a veil of silk.
When it stopped, it left the area's silence with a heavy amount of suspicion and dread.

You turned over to Chris, seeing his facial expressions harden from the sound alone, thinking just exactly where he heard it from. He closed the gate behind him, both of his hands automatically going towards his gun.
