this is just some weird shit idk
"Fuck." Alexander whispered under his breath.
Thomas looked up, raising an eyebrow. Alexander was staring at the wall, absentmindedly unbuttoning his shirt and buttoning it back up again. Buttoning. What a strange word. Butt.
Thomas laughed a little, breaking Alex's trance.
"What?" He asked, now intent on staring at Thomas. Thomas grinned.
"Butt." He mumbled, giggling a little again.
Alex sighed, obviously unable to concentrate now.
"Butt." Thomas repeated, laughing harder. Every time he said it, it got funnier. Alex didn't seem to think so.
"Shut." He replied, fiddling with his buttons again. That only made Thomas laugh harder, pointing a shaking finger at Alex's chest.
"Butt!" He cried gleefully, now laughing like a child. Alex was getting angry now, unable to figure out why the hell Thomas was pointing to his shirt and repeating 'Butt' over and over again. Laughing at the word butt he could understand, Thomas had the mental capacity of a six year old.
"Stop laughing!" Alex shouted, smacking Thomas's hand. He still laughed, rocking back and forth and whispering "butt, butt, butt," like a crazed maniac.
"Stop!" Alex said again, but to would not stop. Finally he stood up, gathered his things, and left.
About half an hour later Thomas met Alex in their shared bedroom.
"Why were you laughing so much about butts?" Alex muttered, not looking up from the paper he was writing.
"Butts, buttons. Buttons are such a weird word, right?" Thomas tried to explain. Alex just looked at him.
"Buttons. Buttoning. Butts." He tried again. Alex still didn't understand.
"Never mind." Thomas gave up. Alex shrugged and went back to work. Thomas laid down on the bed and watched him.
"Your butt is cute." He said suddenly. Alex turned pink.
"I want a divorce." He replied.
"We aren't married." Thomas said.
"I want a divorce from life."
