**Warning! Light swearing!**

---

I listened, my senses focused entirely on the back door. Footsteps reached my ears, loud metal ones that were unmistakable, and quieter, faster ones that didn't know of the danger. I wanted to shout. To make any kind of noise, but the gun pressing against my ear forced my throat to close.

There Jim stood, completely relaxed with a smile on his face. He reached into his pocket, producing the golden map he successfully stole. "Doc! Doc, wake up!" He said, excitement making him breathless. I watched in horror as he went straight to the pirate captain. "I got the map."

His metal hand reached out for it, easily taking it from the startled and frightened Jim. "Fine work, Jimbo." He looked over the little ball with a grin. "Fine work indeed."

Realization hit him and he glanced around, his eyes wide as he noticed us, already captured. The pirates were emerging from the shadows of their hiding spots, all surrounding him.

"Thanks for showin' us the way in, boy." One of them chuckled, as they descended upon him.

"Run! Run!" I shouted into my gag, the cloth stealing most of the volume of my voice.

He tried. He was caught. Two big creatures easily grabbed his arms, forcing him to stay in place as he fought against them. Morph bit on one of the crew who held Jim, clamping down on his tail with teeth as sharp as he could make them.

"AAGH!" A pained yell escaped the pirate. Although it was a valiant effort, the pirate slammed the little blob against the ground, stunning and hurting him. Morph returned to Jim's pocket, too scared to try again.

"What's this sorry stack of metal?" The woman of the crew shook BEN and stuck a knife to his throat.

"Not the face!" He yelled, leaning as far as he could away from the blade.

I stared at Silver as he walked toward the struggling Jim, calmly tossing the map and catching it, taunting him. "You're just like me, Jimbo." He leaned in. "Ya hates to lose."

He chuckled to himself as he set upon opening the map. He... He didn't know how! He struggled, using a few different arm pieces as he grumbled to himself. "What the devil's the...!" He sighed, looking over at Jim.

Jim was smirking at Silver's plight. The old captain frowned, shoving the ball to him. "Open it." He ordered.

The two who held Jim released him as Silver plopped the map into his hands. He didn't move, opting to glare at Silver instead. It was obvious that Jim wouldn't open the map for him.

Silver glared back, switching his arm to his pistol. "I'd get busy." He said, glancing at the captain, doctor, and I. My mouth dried and I felt my hands ball into fists. I barely registered the movement of Smollot and Doppler's heads as they quietly communicated with Jim. I could only blankly stare at the pistol,

          Click

as it slowly started to aim at us. It didn't get very far, as Jim started to open the golden map. Glowing green and yellow light flooded the room as a hologram of the planet appeared right in the middle of the group.

All stared at it. "Oh, the powers that be, would you look?" Silver gasped, wide eyed and excited.

The planet dissolved into a green line that led out of the hole, softly pulsing yellow to lead them to the treasure. Silver laughed, a throaty glee in his voice, as he looked to where the line led. "Tie him up, and leave him with the others till we- what?" He started to order, but the line disappeared back into the ball.
