Its Not So Hard After All

Chapter 4.

I woke up feeling well. I tried moving my feet and it was finally okay but the doctor said to make it rest for at least a day and that's exactly what I was planning to do.

I ran down and grabbed a tub Ben & Jerry's, ran up to my room and put on the movie, 'Click'. This is one of the movies that I'd constantly cry on even if I already memorize every line.

I played the movie and started digging in my tub of vanilla ice cream.

Halfway through the movie I received a text.

Alex: Hey nicki!! I'm with Nate. we're swimming later with the others. before you say no I would like to tell you that we'll also be having barbeque.

I laughed at his last statement and typed in my reply

Me: You know me so well. haha :) okay ill go after i finish the click and this tub of ben & jerry's.

Alex: So we're expecting a bloodshot eye cole? ;)

Me: Maybee.. :)

Alex: HEY COLE GET YOUR ASS HERE NOW OR ILL DRAG YOU TO MY HOUSE AND THROW YOU TO THE POOL

I knew exactly who this was and shook my head.

"Who're you texting?" My mom said coming in.

"The guys." I said smiling. "Oh yeah before I forget. I'll be going to Nate's house."

"Okay, but how are you getting there?" Mom said raising a brow.

"I don't know maybe walk or text them to pick me up?" I said as I shrugged.

There was a moment of silence until mom spoke up.

"Do you want to have a driver's liscense?" My mom asked out of the blue.

"Are you serious?" I screamed.

"Yes! Yes! Now go get changed and I'll drive you to take the test. Aaron already thought you right?"

I was in my closet grabbing skinny jeans and a rolling stones shirt.

"Yup!" I said giddily.

I grabbed a backpack and packed a pair of shorts to swim in, extra clothes, bath stuff and my phone and charger.

I opened my phone to see a text from Alex.

Alex: That was nate sorry.

Me: I know haha and tell him, 'I'm going mom just wait' haha
I ran down as my mom drove me to take the test.

"Congratulations Ms. King! You have passed the test!" My driver instructor, Macey, said.

"Thank you so much!" I hugged her.

"No problem."

I walked behind Macey, who was leading me to the office. When I saw my mom, I gave her a thumbs up and she clapped.

I proceeded to the place where I'm going to have a picture while my mom filled up an application form.

After an hour, I finally have my driver's liscense. I kept on staring at my new baby and looked up to realize that we weren't driving home.

"Where are you taking me, mom? I know I've been a bad child but don't kill me." I joked.
"I'm taking you to buy a car of course and I know exactly what car to buy you." She said winking.

"Are you buying me-"

"A sports car of your choice? Yes."
