3rd of Ne, Summer Moon

I have everything I need for today's take off on the ship. This construct is much larger than I would ever imagine a boat to be, there are sails that stretch far and wide across the ship. there are roped sections organized into squares that other people would climb onto. Getting on the ship was simple, we handed out tickets and climbed the wooden board up and into the ship. the wait to get going took awhile.

Looking out into the ocean was a wondrous sight. The endless blue seems so mesmerizing like the endless plane of white snow in the tundras within our grounds. I sat on something wooden and looked out into the ocean until we set sail.

The sudden movement of the ship caught me off guard and nearly made me fall off of my seat. Seeing the town slowly disappearing out in the distance was calming, I am leaving the lands of Abar Izigo, yet the people from there still reside on this ship so I can't let my cloak down yet. Ill reside at the bottom of the ship, for now, since its the least hot place.

Even from down here, in the storage room, the constant swaying of the ship was getting to me. I had to go up onto the deck in the mids of the night just to vomit into the sea. The people here don't seem to care that I spend most of my time down in the storeroom sleeping during the sunlit hours. I have ventured to the surface at night to get their prepared food for the day and to get more fresh air in the cooler hours.

I don't know what to do while I wait down here but It's not entirely boring listening to the conversations above. I don't entirely know what they are talking about most of the time but they seem interesting.

The heat even down here in the boat storage area is unimaginably hot, even in the nights, I find myself just looking for a place to cool off. Everyone else on the boat seems to not mind the heat. I'm often just lying on the wooden floor, sprawled out to try and just drain the heat from my body.

We have so much time left on this journey still and I don't think I may survive through the heat here. One of the people came down and handed me a glass of cold water which was nice of him. I never thought someone would notice me that much.

Strange weather has started to accrue within my travels. Water seemed to fall out of the sky from there are dark clouds that cover the night sky. It was almost like the snowfall that we would get in the tribe. I asked one of the crew members of this event the next morning and after he gave me a long stare of confusion, he claimed that it was "rain" and it happens often at the sea.

While the rain had occurred and I wandered the deck trying to understand what it was, there was a flash of light followed by a sharp boom that sent me running towards the door. I still have no clue what happened, yet I have decided to longer stay on the surface during the night while it is raining.

People tended to avoid me now on the ship. I don't really know why but the one that I asked the rain question about did give me a weird gaze. I guess I already tend to avoid them as well since I spend my time sleeping in the lowest part of the ship while they spend their time on the deck working and I spend my time awake up in the decks while they speak.

It has been nice being able to return to my normal sleeping schedule and spending the time in the night to do my prayers and dances at the deck. I miss some of my old friends back at the tribe, more so to the family who taught me the ways of dancing for the moon goddess. Controlling the winds within the winter moon was one of our jobs to help the moon goddess communicate with us via the wind. We were almost like her messengers without knowledge of what she wanted us to tell everyone.
