When Sophie got to Everglen. she realized that she was the last one to get there. Ugh! Why did I have to take so long to get dressed? "Sorry, I was getting ready," she mumbled.
"Of course, you were" Biana exclaimed," By the way, you look awesome!"
She twisted her head to look at Fitz to find him staring at her.
"Come on, let's go in," Biana said as she pulled Sophie towards the gates.
Sophie could feel Fitz's eyes on her but she ignored it. What should I say to him? Maybe a simple hi. No. Ugh ,this is so awkward! Wait, maybe I shou-
Then a voice interrupted the thought
Hey...
Startled, Sophie let out a small shriek.
Oh sorry, I thought you knew I was here
I didn't. For some reason, I can't feel it when you enter my mind.
You look nice in that dress.
Umm... thanks... I guess.
"HEY! no telepathic conversations here!" said Biana.
"Sorry" Sophie mumbled
"So you guys, I was thinking, how about Truth or Dare?" Biana asked in a slightly weird tone of voice.
Linh, Sophie and Dex agreed but Fitz violently shook his head. Tam just sat there and stared at them.
"Nope, nope, and nope!" he said.
"Oh come on!" nagged Biana, making a pouty face.
"Fitz come on. It's just a game!" Sophie said, inwardly freaking out.
"Ugh, fine!" Fitz replied.
"YAY!!" Biana screamed, "I'll go first. So Tam truth or dare?"

The game was super boring at first, then Linh asked Fitz who he liked, and he responded very softly "Sophie". But everyone heard it! Ugy why?!?. Her face turned as red as a tomato and she had to look away so no one would see. When she looked back Fitz's face looked the same as hers.
Why did he say that? she thought. We broke up. Does he want to get back together? But I'm not ready and I've moved on so what should I say? Or mayb-
"Sophie, Truth or Dare" Fitz asked intently.
"Truth" Sophie whispered.
" Who do you like?"Fitz asked, moving closer to her.
Umm... oh no... what do I say? She thought Um... Maybe Kee-
" I don't like anyone" Sophie blurted out.
"Oh" said everyone but Sophie could hear the sadness in Fitz's voice. Why did her life have to be so complicated?!? "Uhm... I think we should go to sleep. It's getting late," Linh said, breaking the heavy silence. " I agree," Biana said.
"Well, goodnight everybody!" Dex yawned, and Sophie noticed that he moved his sleeping bag closer to Biana's. Everyone said goodnight, and they all went to sleep.
Sophie was the first to wake up the next morning. She scribbled a note explaining that she was going to Elwin's to see Keefe, and light leaped away. When she reached the healing center, she gasped. Keefe was gone, and there was blood on his sheets.
"ELWIN!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO KEEFE?!?" Sophie shouted.
