When they got to the barn he saw a car covered by thirty years of dust and an old army tarp, when he pulled the cover off he wasn't expecting a corvette in perfect conditions. Suddenly his excitement went away, he knew those cars were evaluated for way more than thousand dollars.

"I'm sorry ma'am, I only have one thousand dollars "- He told her with the hands in his pockets.

"I don't really need much, so I'll accept the money, because I can see in your eyes that you'll take care of it"- She told him.

"I promise you, I will"- He said without taking off his eyes of the car.

When he took the car home, he found a letter folded under the co-pilot seat, the letter clearly said:

"My name is private Andrew Malone and if you are reading this, then I didn't make it home. But for every dream that shattered, another one comes, this car was once a dream of mine, now it belongs to you and though you may take her and make her your own, you will always be riding with Private Malone"

Malcolm could almost feel his presence, but that didn't scare him at all, he even felt safe riding that car, because he knew he wasn't going to ride it alone.

As time goes by he was falling in love with that car, he loves to hear those horses thunder underneath her hood.

One night he was coming back from a party, it was raining so hard that he could barely see, unexpectedly a shiny light blinded him so he took a curve too fast.

He couldn't avoid to crash on a tree, the car was in fire and about to explode, the witnesses said someone took Malcolm out of the car and lifted him up from the ground before the fire consumed it all.

Nobody knows who saved Malcolm but he was not meant to die...he wasn't alone, he was riding with his friend The private Malone.
