'Tis a dark starless night
and not a creature in sight
except I
the lonely traveller stranded on this path
Not knowing to turn to the left or to the right. Many a hour I stood
Contemplating; wondering what to do.
How I got here
I do not know
From where I came
I do not remember
I lift up my eyes to the skies
Shielded as they are from my view
and wonder if ever the darkness shall ceaseDespaired I took a chance;
Whichever path I took
I cannot tell
A beam of light shines on my path
The veils are opened I reckon
and suddenly I come to wonder
If anyone would ever tell my tale
Of how I took a chanceWhat lies ahead
Is hindered from my sight,
I continue on the path,
The moon shines in all its glory.
Bright.Illuminating.
