A/N: sorry in advice for the short chapter! I had more stuff planned for this but git caught between some unwanted stuff and couldn't feel like finishing it at all... it's still like a normal chaoter, just a bit shorter- i promise the next one will be better ^^ thanks for understanding <3

He kept running down the halls of the big fortress, small tears making his vision blurry

How was he going to defeat that thing?

Trying not to think much about it, he took a big breath and stopped, getting his bow ready

The footsteps of his opponent were getting near, slowly

*tap*

*tap*

*tap*

Badboyhalo felt himself shake again. With the strenght inside him, he created an arrow around his muffin. It was going to be useless, he knew that, but he had a plan

*tap*

*tap*

The body of Dream appeared around the corner

Now facing Bad, he took his mask off and smiled mischievously. Before the hero could react, Dream opened his eyes and looked directly at him. He could feel a shiver going through his whole body, paralyzing by instinct and tensing up

The other just kept walking slowly, getting his axe ready for the probably last attack of the fight

Now face to face, Dream lifted Bbh's chin with his weapon so their eyes connected

"Any last words, Badboy?"

Bad tried looking away, but his powers were stronger. He was totally cornered this time, and no one was around to help

... or at least that is what Dream thought

Bbh smiled as one a dog attacked his opponent from the back

Dream groaned as the dog bites his leg. As Bad thought, it divided into those weird mini Dreams to not deal more damage. Bbh readied his bow and shot one of them successfully

One mini Dream was gone

Many more were left

His plan didn't go as be thought though, since Dream comprehended what he was trying to do. He smirked and killed the dog, who vanished just like the previous 13

"You think you are big brain, Badboyhalo?", he let out a small, scary laugh. "This is just the beginning"

Time for Plan B-

Bad shot 3 cornbread muffins to the floor, creating enough smoke to run away without being noticed by Dream at all. Finally reaching a window, he broke it and looked outside

"GEEEEEEEPPYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", he cried out loud, hoping for his friend to hear him

He heard Dream's footsteps getting closer

Without hesitating too much, he climbed to the window frame and stood there. Outside, he could see the red netherrack cover the whole place, while lava was underneath him. Small cries and burning noises could also be heard in the area

He took a long, deep breath, and climbed from outside of the Fortress

With his feet now leaving the window frame, his hands where the only things that kept him from falling into the lava. He wasn't the best climber, but luckily the Fortress had a structure pretty easy to climb

When he was near the top, he heard Dream below him

Not daring to look down, he started using his feet to impulse him and climb faster, without much success.

Dream just stayed in his place. "What are you trying to do?", he asked while smirking. "Isn't it better to die in my hands than being burned alive in that lava pit?"

Bad didn't answer. He was so close-

Just when his hand reached the top, he heard the clacking sound of a weapon being thrown. Dream's axe had landed right next to him

His legs frenetically moved forward, trying to move his body towards the roof

Another sound was heard underneath him, signaling that his hunter was trying to climb too. Luckily for him, he managed to get to the top and shot some arrows towards Dream, in a hope we would fall

Seeing that didn't work, he looked around. There was an open corridor on the other side of the roof, stairs that went straight down and another big pillar of the Fortress, which was too far away for him to reach it

He decided to go for the corridor, and without shooting some more muffins before, he left and run towards it

"So this is a spawner, huh?"

He was in front of what seemed like a small capsule of energy inside lava. Sometimes, it would start spinning at an incredible speed, and at that moment a new blaze would appear next to him, almost ready to attack

Skeppy had the chance to kill a few more blazes in his way here, but sadly still had only one blaze rod. This was going to be difficult

Three blazes spawned at the same time

Catch out of surprise, Skeppy barely had time to protect himself from the fire attacks. He had noticed that the best way to kill blazes was from the distance, as getting too near to them could even burn his skin

He made small diamond shards and shot them against the three mobs, successfully taking down one of them while the other two dodged

"No blaze rod... again...", he murmured to himself as he took his sword and aimed towards a blaze that got too close to him. The place was filled with the burning metal sounds of the mobs, so he didn't hear his friend's scream  of help

Taking down a second blaze, this time finally getting his rewards, another two blazes spawned again

He did his best to not get hit by their attacks, but dodging was getting hard. Each attack they make would lit a part of the Fortress on fire, reducing his space to move around

At this rate, blazes would win the fight

Just when he killed a third blaze, another three more spawned. The five blazes looked at him with their empty eyes and started shooting

He had no other choice. He needed to retreat now
