( jack's pov )
I open my eyes and see I'm being rushed through the hospital and hiccup and Merida are blurry but are beside me, "it's going to be ok Jack" hiccup says then I look over to Elsa who is being rushed next to me and we go separate ways.I then black out and am met with the darkness

I sit up quickly then cough and try to breathe but struggle. Nurses and doctors run in and push me back down. "Mr frost you were hit by fire and it just missed your heart, answer these questions then you have to rest" the doctor says
"What do you remember?" A nurse asks and I can't talk, my chest feels like it's burning and I gasp for air not able to breathe
"He can't breathe"
"He needs oxygen now!"
Black spots then cover my vision and I go into the darkness once again.
(One week later)
I open my eyes slowly and groan from the pain in my chest. Hiccup is sitting next to me and he's looking at me concerned, "hey buddy, how you feeling?" He asks and I close my eyes since it feels better
"Like shit" I groan and he chuckles
"I was worried sick about you" he says then looks at me, "do you remember anything?" He asks and I nod slowly
"Yeah, it was Hans...he put a fireball in my...heart..." I say out of breath and hiccup nods
"It just missed your heart less than a centimetre so you were very lucky" hiccup says then I look at him
"Is Elsa ok?" I ask and he nods
"Yeah Elsa woke up 3 days ago but she has short term amnesia and can't remember anything that happened that day" hiccup says and I nod, "Merida is with her now and they're both sleeping" hiccup says chuckling
I smirk then wince in pain from my chest, "where's Hans?" I ask and hiccup turns on the TV and we're on the news
"Last week the teenage criminal Hans Isles attempted to kill two ice powered students at Burgess High with his fire powers. He's still missing and the BCPD are still searching for this criminal. Both the victims are alive and are recovering their injuries at the Burgess Hospital-" hiccup turns off the TV and look at me annoyed
"Hans is out there on the streets still" he says then looks at me and sighs, "my dad wants to put you under protective custody" hiccup says and I shake my head
"No..way..." I disagree and hiccup looks at me
"Jack get some rest ok?" Hiccup asks, "you need it" he adds sitting in the chair beside me and I nod and close my eyes
"Sure...hicc..." I say dosing off exhausted and sore
(Elsa's POV)
I open my eyes to the sound of the door slamming and I sit up as does Merida since we were sleeping and hiccup has a happy look on his face
"Jack is ok!" Hiccup basically screams happily and Merida and I smile widely
"Oh my god, I'm seeing the lad, Elsa I'll say you said hi" Merida says and I nod
"He's out cold" hiccup says and Merida shrugs
"I'm still seeing him" Merida says then leaves and hiccup looks at me
"So how are you feeling now?" Hiccup asks me and I nod and smile
"I'm fine, the doctor said I could get out tomorrow morning" I smile and hiccup smiles too
"That's great" he says and I nod happily
"Yeah it is but I'm not aloud to go to school for another week" I say and hiccup smiles
"I'll happily bring back work" he says and I shake my head
"No way, tell Ms.Gothel I'm barley awake" I say and he laughs
"Fine I'll cover for you but what about the other teachers?" He asks
"Gothel is the only teacher that has work, other classes are magic based and I'm not supposed to use my ice magic until the fire is completely out my system which could take months" I frown and hiccup smiles sadly at me
"Sorry to hear that" he says and I shake my head
"I'd be worried about Jack, he won't be able to use his ice powers for longer than me, he was hit in the heart, I was only hit in the head" I point out and hiccup nods his head side to side
"I guess so but as soon as Jack gets out this hospital he'll be using his magic which makes me living down the street handy" he says and I look at him with confusion and he sighs, "you don't know do you?" He asks and I shake my head slowly
"Know what?" I ask and he sighs sitting down in the chair next to me
"Ok when Jack was younger he was hit by a weak dark magic so he wasn't hurt too bad but whenever her tried to use his powers he would pass out. This was the time when he was living with me and my dad when his parents abandoned him and took off with his baby sister so we were about 11 or 12 and even then he couldn't live without his powers and tried over and over again to use them but kept passing out and it got to the point where I had to be by his side for a fortnight" he says and I frown
"His parents took off with his younger sister?" I ask and hiccup nods
"Yeah they did and he was heartbroken but you can't tell him or anyone that you know that, only me and Merida know" hiccup says
"What about Rap?" I ask and hiccup stands and shakes his head
"Rap had just moved and she wasn't in the group yet so she had no idea what Jack was going through. I mean for gods' sake they left him because he had powers and they thought he was a freak, it's probably why he's into you, you have powers like him" hiccup says and I blush
"Jack is i..i..into me?" I ask slightly stuttering and hiccup laughs
"Come on I've been his best friend for 17 years now and I know him better than he knows himself, the guy is crazy for you" hiccup says and I smiles looking down, "you like him too, don't you?" Hiccup asks and I look up at him
"A might have a little crush on him yeah but you can't tell anyone, not even him" I say and hiccup nods
