A6d jumped awake, sweat falling down his face. His face was pale and his body was shaky, but he managed to stand up

He took some time to realize where he was and remember what happened. With a hand on his forehead, he walked towards the door and turned the handle

It was dark outside, and the only light source was the weak sparks that were left from the campfire in the village. It was cold, but he liked it like that. He inhaled a few times, taking deep breaths to try recompose himself from The Dream

All he remembered from the "fight" was the strong pain in his back which caused him an instant death, and a small laugh from his opponent

A chill run down his spine

While walking through the empty village, he was greeted by an Iron Golem, who just stared at him and continued its guard.

Going out in his state was a bad decision, but he really needed some fresh air to clear his mind

Getting out of the village, he started walking under the moonlight at a slow pace. He would occasionally turn invisible to escape the sigh of some mobs or teleport to the top of some trees to hide and rest for a while

After what seemed like ages, the sun started going up

A6d wasn't too far from the village, but he didn't want to get back yet. Always walking forward, he found himself in a small valley at the bottom of the mountain, and there he sat for a while

Thought covered his mind. What were his friends doing at that moment? Should he go back to the Nether or wait for them in the village? Would it be better to collect new stuff for them or should he rest? That guy killed him in one swing of an axe, how would he survive The End?

Was it worth it for him to continue?

He didn't want to admit it, but he felt... useless. He may have helped in the Raid, but on the battle with Zelkam and the new guy he was basically just there, not helping at all

Immersed in his thoughts, he didn't hear the footsteps getting near

A hand rubbed his back, and he felt a body sat next to him

"Tapl? Didn't you leave?"

The other smiled slightly, grabbing one of the million apples he had

*crunch*

*munch*

"Where is your blue friend?", he asked, taking another bite to the apple

A6d looked down, a bit embarrassed. "He is in the Nether with my other friend. I- I died and respawned back here"

"That sucks man...", he got up and offered his hand to the other. A6d took it and got up as well. "The Nether is a horrible place, I don't know how heroes can go there so often"

"People can do almost anything for money and pride"

"Well, that's true, but they aren't really proving anything", he chuckled a bit

A6d was confused. "What do you mean by that? They prove how fucking strong they are! Beating a gigantic dragon that could literally KILL YOU is not something anyone could do"

"Well yes, but actually no. The last person to hit the dragon, the last attack, is the one that counts, right?"

The other stayed in silence for a moment, pensive. He looked at the apple man. "Have you ever beaten the Ender Dragon?"
