you were walking down the empty streets, kicking a can along your way to anteiku. anteiku was your home. you were so glad you actually had a nice warm place to stay. without anteiku you couldve been laying dead in the cold streets of winter. you were great friends with touka, you both would go shopping together and touka was always there to help. you two were like sisters. as you were walking you heard someones footsteps, they were very faint but you had very good ears. it sounded like two people, so you ran behind a trash can as fast as you could, peeking out to see who it was. you saw two black figures way in the distance. as they got closer you could smell a scent, one youve smelled before. as they got closer you realized it was rize...but there was another scent, one you never smelled before, and it smelled like a human. you drooled a little, since you havent eaten in two days. but you stayed where you were. right before your eyes you saw the human getting devoured by rize. " dead already??" rize said as the human fell to the ground..not moving. you ran away as fast as you could, you hated killing people. you never did. thats why touka would kill for you and bring you scraps. as you were running you heard a loud "BANG" you wondered what it was but you continued running.

the next morning you woke up at 8:00 today was your day off so you went to take a shower. as you were taking a shower a flashback of what you say yesterday came and you cringed. after your nice long shower you put on a black sweat shirt with blue skinny jeans and black combat boots, brushed your teeth and walked out the door. you knocked on touka's door as always. "touka wake up!" the door opened only to see touka smiling slightly "hey" touka was never this way with anyone but you. you guys grew up together. you both walked down the stairs of anteiku. you sat down to watched the news on the tv. "19 year old boy attaced by a ghoul and js rushed to the hospital for kidney transplant." you wondered if that was the boy you saw yesterday being attacked by rize, or some other random boy. you thoughts got cut off by touka giving you a nice warm coffee. "thanks" you said and drank away.
