Gently leaning his head on his boyfriend's chest, Sam nuzzled into him. Callum played with his blonde hair, running his fingers through it. They both loved peaceful moments like this, times where they just enjoyed each other's embrace, the two of them alone.

Callum continued to stroke his boyfriend's hair as they carried on talking. 'Babe, remember I invited Uma over tonight. She said she was fine sleeping on the couch.'

Sam nodded before quickly turning his head up. 'Oh shit. Brady and his girlfriend are coming over?'

'Who?' Callum asked, slightly confused.

'An old friend of mine I bumped into yesterday. That okay?'

Callum shrugged. 'Sure. We need to go to the store to buy some more Hors d'oeuvres though. I only got enough for the three of us.'

Sam nodded and yawned. 'Five more minutes though.'

Callum smiled, wrapping an arm around him.

It was rolling around half past six, and Sam had told Brody to roll up around six. Brody was in fairly casual wear deciding not to dress up as he was only going around a friend's. He'd been waiting to leave for forty minutes and only finally after Ruby arrived did he realise why she was taking so long.

Emerging from the hotel bathroom, Ruby came out with a face full of make-up. Here hair was curled and she was wearing a tight orange dress with long, dark high-heels.

She looked at her boyfriend up and down and frowned. 'Aren't you a little... underdressed?' She asked.

He frowned back. 'We're going to a friend's for a small, relaxed gathering and you come out dressed like that?'

She took a step closer. 'I want to look presentable, Brady. Go put on a suit!'

'I've been waiting for forty goddamn minutes!' He cried out. 'If you want to embarrass yourself dressed like that, that's on you.'

Ruby glared at him, looking like she was about to yell. Instead she stormed out the entrance.

Watching her go, Brady rolled his eyes. 'Fucking bitch.' He murmured, grinding his teeth and clenching his knuckles. 'Ruins everything.'

Abi sat down at the dining room table facing Momma. As per usual Momma had set out three plates. One for them, and a third she left in front of a chair. Abi knew this behaviour was unhealthy, and a few years ago Abi only set out two plates, causing Momma to break down at her. Since then Abi decided to just go along with it. Momma was hurting, and she would do what it took to help her.

'You need to eat Momma.' Abi told her.

Momma didn't move, but she turned her eyes to her, glaring. Abi carried on eating, deciding to leave her alone. She clearly wasn't in the mood.
