The Beauty in You [Discontinued]

As always, Chanyeol walked the murmuring halls with his head low. He didn't need to look up to know what they were saying for he already knew. Him and his best friend bully have always been the talk of the town since 6th grade- where it all TRULY began.

Chanyeol walked into the bathroom with his head hung low, only looking up when he hears sniffles. He immediately freezes in place as he meets eye to eye with whom the sad sound belonged to.

Byun Baekhyun.

Why is he crying? It's his fault the halls talk.

Baekhyun's expression quickly transforms from sorrow to anger as he straightens his posture and glares at Chanyeol. Chanyeol would be lying if he claimed he wasn't intimidated by the look. Even though the other was smaller, given their "relationship"- the rich kid's look was enough to make the poor boy nervous.

"You...you okay?" he asks nervously.

The question only makes Baekhyun angrier as he walks towards him with a psychotic look.

"Who the fxck do you think you are to ask me that!?" he spits harshly, backing Yeol into the wall.

Chanyeol gulped thickly. What did he do? He was only being considerate, or trying to at least...

Wait- why am I scared of this guy!?

He's been an asshole to ME and made MY LIFE A LIVING HELL!!!

WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS TO TREAT ME LIKE THIS!?

He quickly matched Baekhyun's angered expression and furrowed his brows.

"I'm being nice because I care! Who are YOU to be a dxck to me!?" He yells, shoving the smaller away from him forcefully.

The boy immediately puts his arms over his head, hiding himself with a whimper and fear in his big brown eyes. It was clear to Chanyeol that Baekhyun didn't have a good history with such rough acts.

Chanyeol lets his guard down a bit as he takes in the current situation, familiar with the smaller's reaction for he had done it himself plenty of times in the past.

The man continued to beat the young boy with the belt, Chanyeol's legs and back bleeding from the repetitive lashings.

"A-A-APPA~ P-PWEAS' ST-STOP~!" Chanyeol wailed miserably.

It was clear the pleading only made it worse as his father's eyes became more psychotic.

"DON'T YOU DARE TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" his father rages, rearing the belt back with the buckle exposed.

The frail child covered himself with his arms as his cries became louder as he braced himself for impact.

Chanyeol quickly pulls himself out of his thoughts as he hears a louder whimper erupt from the student below him.

"Baekhyun?" he manages out softly, taking a small step forward.

Said boy looks up at him with large, now innocent eyes and it was in that moment that it was clear to Park Chanyeol...

His relationship with Byun Baekhyun... would never be the same again.
