Chapter 2

I spun around fast, spin-kicking at Malifecent but only hitting air. I was VERY surprised that I actually did a spin kick. wow. I don't think I am or ever was athletic. When I punted that mirror, it barely went up into the air, and it literally only went 2 inches in front of me. And when I was running, after about 2 seconds I got tired. And...... Wait! Focus! Crazy whitch lady in front of me!

Without thinking, I said, "What do you want, crazy witch bat lady who has to be a million years old?" nastily. Malifecent laughed with grace. "Ooh, have a little temer, do we child?" I replied angrily, "I'm not a child! I'm seventeen!" Malifecent's eyes flashed with anger, and for a horrible moment I thought she was going to kill me. Way to go, Jo! You just made a very powerful whitch mad. In the next second, though, Malifecent's eyes were back to normal, and she regained her calmness. "How do you remember that, Jo?" I was little startled she knew my name, it took me a minute to realize she was still talking to me, and answer her question. "I don't know? Something with the brain cortex or whatever? Why?"

Malifecent's eyes gleamed when she answered, "Because you weren't supposed to. Oh well, I will just have to do the spell right this time." Malifecent laughed.

I was so furious, I don't even know what happened. I just tackled Malifecent  and started pulling her hair out, shouting at the same time, "GIVE....... ME....... BACK.......MY.......MEMORIES......YOU......EVIL.........WHITCH!" I was accenting each word by pulling out a clump of her hair. Malifecent threw me off her, and I went like 10 feet away from her. I literally crashed through a brick wall! Oh, what a jerk!  "IT'S ON, MALIFECENT! BRING IT YOU BAT!" I shouted. "I WILL TAKE YOU DOWN!" I shouted again. Malifecent just laughed. ohmygod I am SO going to kill this witch! I got down from the brick wall, lunging at Malifecent. She looked at me with disgust, and I kicked her in the face. "Oh, sorry," I said,"I didn't see your ugly face there." And then I smirked.

With blood dripping out of her nose and clumps of hair ripped out of her scalp, Malifecent shouted, "IT IS OVER, MORTAL! YOU WILL PAY FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!" And then she charged towards me with her hands outstretched.

She jumped into the air inches from my face  and was going to land on me when, without thinking, I threw the mirror in her face. She shrieked and was stuck in mid-air. "YOU WILL PA-" she started to say, and then there was a blinding flash of green light.

I picked the mirror up off the floor, dusted it off, and looked inside it. The mirror was no longer broken! What was inside was even more surprising. Malifecent was banging on the glass, shouting. I couldn't hear her shout, though. Weird. I could see her moving her lips and her angry expression, but I couldn't hear anything she said. I realized what must have happened. Malifecent was stuck in there, broke the glass, escaped, and then found me. Just then I realized that fairy tales aren't real, and that I must be crazy. When I looked down at the mirror again, it was broken and fogged up. I tucked it in one of my jean pockets, and continued walking to the demolished city.
