a/n: please read the very important note at the end.

~

there is only thing lingering in taehyung's mind right now.

anger.

how could someone kill a person who's only purpose is to do something right? a person whose purpose is to do give a hand to those who need saving. a person whose purpose is to provide better life for someone who isn't human.

his eyes burning with anger and pain. orbs are dark and black.

lisa's eyes widen when there are scales starting to emerge from his neck, a golden lining which she assumed to be gills are starting to make itself known.

"taehyung." it sounded like a whisper comin out from his mouth. while the latter is still blinded with pure rage, he hasn't realized that his emotions can make him transform into who he is.

ironically to humans, when we convey our emotions, it shows who we truly are. how vulnerable or fragile or stiff our being is, same goes with nymphs and mermaid's and in taehyung's case, his neckless cannot help him become human again.

he needs to calm down before he truly transforms.

lisa was frantic. her mind is all over the place. but she doesn't have all the time to think. everything happened within a blink of an eye, and they cannot stay longer in the basement knowing that they will search the house for possibilities of taehyung's whereabouts after her professor was shot at her doorstep.

and she was right. she heard faint footsteps and she panicked again when she saw the man slowly giving in to life. lisa scolded herself to think and not to panic.

"taehyung, please. we have no time." he held the helpless boy in her hands. his breathing is rigged and he started to look pale.

salt water, right. or even salt.

where would she get salt from the basement? it's not like it is where her pantry is located. she doesn't even have pantry for starters.

"fuck, lisa! think." she scolded herself as she tried to encirle her hands around his waist as she assisted him to stand up while his left hand hung around between her shoulder and neck.

the footsteps were becoming louder and louder as she escorted the merman towards the door that led to where her car is. good thing she grabbed a spare key hung inside a small partition above the garage door.

"they're here, sire!" a man in his mid thirties peeked under the open door that leads toward the basement and lisa is sure they've been followed.

she only made sure she locked the small passage gate that connects the basement to the garage so if ever they found out, it would take them time at least; scratch that, they found out already.

taehyung was groaning in pain as he tried to battle with the pain he is experiencing. the dryness of his skin is visible and his skin was pale before golden scales appear one by one.

he hissed when his body touched the leather seats of her humble car. his lips are chapped and certain gasps of air went out his mouth, a sign of him having difficulty in breathing.

lisa had never in her life unbuttoned a polo that fast. she hesitated at first since it is awkward to do so but she was left with no choice. she did what she think is right snd bit her lip as she undone the buttons of the polo.
so taehyung would get air, and perhaps ease how he feels right now since she clearly doesn't have any knowledge beforehand of this situation.

she fastened her seatbelt and his as well. "taehyung, just hang in there please." she's clearly on the verge of crying. tears are welling up her eyes, but she needs to be brave now. if it weren't for her, well at least for him- and for her dear lovely professor who risked his life, and for his colleague who covered up for him to save taehyung- she needs to be brave for the efforts of everyone.

she brought the car to life and exited her garage as fast as possible but making sure she's been careful even though recklessly speeding her way to the port.

ocean is the only thing that comes in her mind when she thought of salt water, and the port is what came in her mind.

the abandoned port is clearly placed at the seaside which for sure she can help him. one, because it is at the seaside, she can wash him with water by the sand or if there's a boat standby then she can dump his body to the depths of the water.

he clasped his hand with hers and lisa couldn't bear the sight anymore. it was like she is witnessing how his soul slowly leave his body.

"taehyung, just breathe." the lighthouse in her sight as she brought her eyes back on the road, a small spark of hope rose deep in her heart.

she stopped the car halfway when she found a standby boat. carefull drawing him out the car, his weight a hindrance and also his situation.
