Beck

He saw Jade sitting in an empty classroom once again, but this time without her notebook.

So he pulled one out of his bag, one that he got specifically for her.

"Here," he said gently as he walked into the room, holding out the notebook to her. "I know it's not your old one, but- "

"Thank you," she smiled brightly at him, making his stomach flutter.

"You're welcome," he replied, smiling back.

"I didn't have the money to buy another one," she explained sadly. "You didn't have to do this for me."

I did because I care about you.

"I know, but I wanted to."

"I'm sorry that I'm a slut- "

"No." He then cradled her cheek in his hand, and she felt herself getting hot. "You're not a slut. Don't say that."

"You just saw me dressed as the devil, working as a stripper at a strip club," Jade frowned. "How am I not a slut?"

Because I know there's so much more about you that I'm not aware of.

"Because you're not," he murmured softly. "Strippers aren't sluts. They make money, right? It's just a normal job."

Jade scoffed. "Yeah, a job that involves taking your clothes off."

"No one's allowed to see you without clothes except for me," Beck grumbled, eyes then widening as he realized what he just said. "I-I mean- "

She smirked, standing up and grabbing her bag. "Thanks for the notebook, pretty boy. I'll see you around."

And then she walked out, leaving him hot and embarrassed.

Why the hell is she just so perfect?

That was the first thing he thought of as he saw her again, this time sitting outside on the grass, leaning against a tree as she drew in the notebook he had given her earlier.

Her golden curls fell in her face, shielding her away from him before she flipped her hair behind her shoulders, still drawing.

It's like she doesn't even know how beautiful she is.

He leaned against the college brick wall, his eyes fixed on the goth sitting ways away from him. He didn't care if people looked at him weirdly.

Jade was way more important.

Maybe I should just ask her out-

Nah. Too soon.

He wished he could just ask her out, though. But he knew it wasn't the right time.

She probably wouldn't even say yes, anyway.

He watched as she stood up, and his heart raced as he realized that she was coming towards him.

"Do you just enjoy being a creep, or what?" She smirked, amusement in her big blue doe eyes.

"You're quite nice to stare at."

God, why am I so awkward-

"Thank you," she giggled softly, and if he wasn't already flustered before, he sure was now.

He reached up and pushed a curl behind her ear, not able to control himself. He saw her cheeks redden, and he chuckled. She was adorable.

Maybe if I just leaned in and-

The bell rang, cutting off his thoughts as Jade jumped back, startled.

"I-I have to get to class," she announced softly, her happy demeanor shattered.

And before he had a chance to respond, she hurried off and away from him.
