The Hate You Give is an amazing book about equality, told in the POV of Starr, who had watched her childhood best friend get shot three times by a local police officer. Not only is she going through the experience of seeing her friend killed by someone that is there to protect her, but she is a key witness in the investigation.
Anyhow, it's a pretty wonderful book, I really liked it. On the other hand, my brother didn't care to much for it, so it just kinda depends I guess. I personally thought it was good.
