Fangirl is another really good one by Rainbow Rowell. The characters are so well developed, they seem like real people. This one is another romance book, but it's one of my favorites. She did such an amazing job writing it, and I couldn't put it down until it was done.
It's about a girl who is part of a Harry Potter-like fandom, and she writes fanfiction for two of the characters. She used to write it with her twin sister, but her twin found better things to do. She goes through most of the book feeling insecure and a little mad at her sister, and she ends up falling in love with her roommate's ex-boyfriend but now best friend. I probably didn't do as good at a job of explaining this as I could have, but still. You should totally read it.
