I wake up to the sound of Luna saying my name.
"Lyla. It's time to wake up. You slept in once more." Her voice is as soft as a kitten. She gently nudges my arm and helps me out of bed.
"I don't wanna get up! School doesn't start 'til tomorrow and I haven't gotten excepted yet!" I turn over in my pillow and mumble, "I probably never will." Luna gives me a sad expression.
"Oh come on now. Don't say that. Of course you will! You're so smart! Your not even at the school yet and you know the three-" I shush her.
"Shush! Be quiet! No one know I know the three unforgivable curses yet! And I don't intend on them to find out!" I growl at her.
"I'm sorry Lyla! I didn't mean it. But you still know them plus so many more! And I'll only be a year above you. I can help you through the classes!" She says excitedly. I look at her with hard eyes. "I don't need your help!! I don't need anyone's help!" I turn around so I don't have to see the soft eyes looking at me which are, without a doubt full of sadness. My hard face looks at her and I let go. "I'm sorry Luna. I guess I'm just nervous about this. I don't know if I'm ready. Maybe I never will be." I sigh. Luna wipes the tears from my eyes. "What are you talking about. Lyla Lea Lovegood! Look at me! You are the most ready person I've ever met. You know a bunch of spells like the back of your wand. I'm sure the letter owl is just late! Trust me. Now lets get dressed and go eat breakfast." She says. I get up and look at my packed trunk. All of my clothes besides a few are packed in there. I grab a torn t-shirt and jeans and meet Luna downstairs. My uncle is at the table reading the newspaper. "Ah, hello my darling! How are you?" He puts down his paper and looks at me with the same facial expression as Luna. His green eyes shine with happiness.
"Why are you so happy uncle?" I ask him.
"Oh no reason. Though I do believe that the mail came today. Do you mind checking it?" He asks smiling his smile. I goto the door and gasp as I see a letter addressed to, "Miss Lyla Lovegood." I grab the letter and sprint I the kitchen. "It came! It came!! After months of waiting it finally came!!" I say jumping up and down. Luna looks at me with her royal blue eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Well what are you waiting for? Open it!" Luna says hopping to her feet.
