I tear the letter open and stare at it. Luna takes the letter from me and reads aloud, "Dear Miss Lovegood,
We are pleased to announce that Hogwarts Witch craft and Wizardry school has accepted you. You have the talent and mind set to be a true success. We believe in you and are happy to see you on the first day if school." She finished reading and looked at me with her eyes that say one thing. "I'm so proud of you!!" She hugs me tight and for the first time in a long time, I let her embrace me. She releases and blabs on and on on how I will look on my first day and she wants me to meet everyone she knows and stuff like that. She mentioned something about Harry Potter and I perked up.
"Wait, what did you just say about Harry Potter? He goes to this school?" Luna nods her head.
"But don't worry. He doesn't act stuck up." She assures me. I nod my head and act like I'm listening. "Oh Lyla! We will have so much fun together!" She says hugging me tightly. She lets go and drags me outside. "We'll be back soon uncle! It's time to show her!" Luna yells.
"Show me what?" I ask while she drags me along the beach. She stops in front of an elders tree.
"Lyla, hold out your wand and say Aloha Mora!" Luna says.
"Why? That spell is used for opening locked doors!"
"Who says this isn't a door?" I take out my wand. "Aloha Mora!" I say. The tree unwinds its roots reviling a passage way. Luna leads me through it and sits down next to a small willow tree. "This tree you planted a few two years after you were born. Lyla, you planted this baby tree right where grandmother died and stayed that whoever stands next to this weeping willow will weep for a loss they have suffered. After it started to grow, three kids came here and started to cry talking about their lost ones. So we placed a tree here to protect this tree. Ever since then, you've had dreams. Dreams that we could not explain, not until now." She sits me down and talks to me. "We have recently learned that you are what they call, a 'visioner.'" "A what?" "A Visioner. They can see possible futures. We found this out last time you had a dream. The dream you had was about a boy named Draco Malfoy. You said that he had white hair and that he would hate one boy in-particular. Well, that happened last year. You are special Lyla. You have the power to become a-" I cut her off. "A what? Successful Wizard? You always say that Luna. But you'll be the one that everyone looks up to! Not me!" I say. She looks at me and throws her arms in frustration. "Lyla! You are not going to become powerful or successful if you keep talking like that! Besides, what do you even mean by that?" I sigh a long sigh. "You are the definition of perfection! You got accepted the day after you sent your letter! I got it today. You know all the spells! I know very few. And you have royal blue eyes and gorgeous silver hair! I have simple light purple eyes and light blue hair! You can blend in! I'm going to stick out like a wand in a bag of powdered dust! I'm useless Luna! And you know it."
She takes my hand and leads me out of the tree. We sit down on the beach and do simple spells. I see a crab and I sneak it on Luna. She looks down and screams. "AHHH!!!! Lyla!! Why would you do that!!" She laughs.
I thought it would lighten the mood. I'm sorry that I went off in there. Again. I just need to control my temper. Ya know?" She places her hand on my shoulder.
"That temper will do you well. Especially with Professor Snape. Just be careful with what you say." We walk back inside and eat dinner. "Goodnight Lyla. I'll wake you up if you sleep in!" I laugh. "You know I will! Goodnight Luna. Thanks for today and telling me what I am." She winks. "Of course! Sleep well!"
