LYLA
I'm starting to cool off but I still don't wanna talk. I feel bad for what I did to Pierce. I think that we broke up because of me. I bury my face in my arms.
"Why can't I just learn to control my anger!" I mumble to myself. I hear the bell ring and I walk to my class. I avoid all contact and go to the back of my class. I put my head down and don't bother listening.
All my classes ends and I walk immediately to my room and shut the door. Someone walks in and sits in my bed.
"Go away! I'm not in the mood for a lecture." I say. No answer.
"Listen bud, I don't wanna blow up so get out!" I yell. No answer. I look up to see a talk red head.
"Josiah? What are you doing here?" I ask.
"I'm your trainer." He says bluntly.
"W-What? I'm confused. Trainer for what?"
"I'm a Visioner too." I hold my head.
"What?"
"I'm a Visioner! Like you. Luna says that you need help so I volunteered. Your first lesson begins tomorrow. Be ready to train since its Saturday." He gets up and walks out. I sit there I'm awe at what he just said. I lean back and lay my head on the wall. I must've sat there for a long time because Hermione comes in.
"It's time for dinner. Hurry up and go eat." She says.
"Did they make you come?" I turn to her.
"I don't know what you mean by that!"
"Wow. Hermione Granger actually not knowing something! That's one thing that you'll never hear again." She glares at me.
"Very funny! Now hurry up!" She walks out.
"Tell them I'm not hungry!" I shout to her. I don't think she heard me but not long after that Luna comes in.
"Are you okay?" She asked. I nod.
"Just in shock. Josiah is going to start my training tomorrow."
"I know. He told me." I look at her.
"How's Pierce?" She looks at me and shakes her head.
"He hasn't come out of his room for hours. He locked it so people know to stay out."
"Great!!" I roll on my side. "This is all my fault! If I hadn't lost my temper-"
"You couldn't control it Lyla! That's one of the things Josiah will teach you!" Luna tries to cheer me up but it doesn't work.
"Do you think Pierce will forgive me?"
"Of course! Go talk to him. He'll talk to you." I nod my head and she gets me out. I walk out to see Draco. His eyes are red and his head is down. He looks up and grins. I hug him.
"Are you-"
"I'm fine Draco. I'm going to see Pierce." His smile fades. "No ones seen him for almost 5 hours. He won't let anyone in. Not even me." He looks at his thumbs. "I'm afraid that he might-"
"Don't say that Draco!" I tell him. "He would never!" He shakes his head.
"I don't know anymore." I look away and goto his room. I knock.
"Pierce?" I say in a weary voice.
"Go away Luna. I don't wanna talk!" He yells.
"Aloha Mora." I whisper. The door unlocks. I walk in quietly and he's on the floor surrounded with books of spells. I don't think anything of it until I take a closer look.
"Suicide spells...." I whisper. He looks up and his eyes are red from crying and he's rocking back and forth.
PIERCE
I look up and see Lyla. I jump up wiping the tears from my face. She smiles and opens up her arms, but instead of hugging her I put my wand to her throat. She gulps.
"Pierce, what are you doing?"
"This is your fault!" I scream. She backs up to the door.
"What do you mean?! What did I do?!" She yelps.
"You didn't listen! When those jerks bullied you, instead of just saying stop, you let your anger take control!! And when I tried to calm you down, YOU BLEW UP!!!" My wand starts glowing.
"PIERCE!!! Please! I'm sorry!! I'm
trying to control! Please!" She slides down closing her eyes. My wand follows her and her eyes open. They glow a bright purple. She starts to levitate and an aura of white glows around her. She screams. Luna comes rushing to the door with Draco and Josiah. Luna goes in Draco's arms and Josiah grabs Lylas hand.
"WHAT DID YOU DO PIERCE?!?" He yells. His deep voice matches his masculine body.
"I- I DON'T KNOW!!! SHE JUST STARTED TO GLOW!!!" I yell back. He holds her hand tight and concentrates. She sinks to the ground.
"She should be fine." Luna sighs in relief. "But I don't know what happened."
"I do." A blonde comes up.
"Pine?" Luna grabs her wrists and practically yells at her.
"WHAT ARE YOU AND HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT LYLA!!?!?" Draco stares in awe. So does Josiah.
"I'm telepathic. I know what happens and when it will. I'm kinda life Lyla only she is more hardcore. She has the darker visions while I have the lighter ones. I can tell why this happened." She looked me in the eye. "It's his fault."
"My fault?! How is it my fault!?"
"Lyla came to apologize and you almost killed her!' Luna stares at me.
"You did what!? Why would you do that?! And after I trusted you!"
"I- I can explain!" I had nothing. I disappointed my friends, my family.
"She'll live and be fine by tomorrow. Well if she gets past the shock stage. She'll be in shock for a while."
"Thank you Pine. I'll see you tomorrow." Luna says. Pine leaves and Draco picks up Lyla.
"I'll put her in bed." Josiah looks at me.
"Listen kid, you need to calm down. Think before you act! Don't just jump in and try to kill someone. Especially when your brother is dating her older sister!" I nod my head. Draco and Luna leave me here with Josiah.
"Si. When she wakes up, do you think she'll hate me?" I ask. He shrugs his broad shoulders.
"I don't know. She might. It depends if you're gonna try and kill her again." I turn my head. My eyes stinging from tears.
"I don't know what came over me." I sniffle. "I couldn't help it. It was like I was under control. I hated it." Josiah looked at me.
"Tell you what, you can watch our lessons tomorrow secretly so when it happens, you'll know what to do." I nod. "Alright. Night kid." He walks out.
LUNA
Draco gently put my little sister down on her bed. She looks so peaceful, it's terrifying. No one can go through that and be so calm. Harry comes in.
"What the bloody hell happened? I heard her scream and no one would let me through to see what was going on!" Draco laughs.
"That's you excuse? Pathetic!"
"Seriously Malfoy. What's going on?" Harry looked at Lyla.
"I'm not exactly sure what happened." I tell him. He nods. "She'll be better my tomorrow. I think." He leaves and Luna hugs me.
"What if she isn't? What if she never wakes up?"
"Shh. It's okay. She will." I assure her. We walk out and shut the door behind us.
"This will never work if they find out ya know. You and me. A Slytherin and a Gryffindor." Luna tells me.
"Well I guess we just can't let them find out. Plus, they might not care. You're the Gryffindor that doesn't care what people think and I'm the Slytherin that doesn't care about most people. We'll be fine." She nods her head and we go our separate ways.
JOSIAH
The morning comes and I get up. My long red hair is a mess and I have a pile of drool on my pillow. I get ready and walk to Lylas room.
"Hello?" I knock. The door creaks open. "Ready for training?"
"Yea. Just give me a sec to get my shoes on." She closes the door and comes out with tennis shoes on. We walk to the court yard and she sits underneath the tree.
"Okay, the first thing I'll teach you is to control your temper." She rolls her eyes.
"Good luck with that."
"That's what I'm talking about! Humph." I cross my arms. "Do you remember anything from last night?"
"Yea. I yelled at everyone to get out of my way so I can see Pierce. He yelled at me and-" tears glisten in her eyes. "And we broke up." I look behind a bush where I told Pierce to be watching. He's there. With a stern look on his face.
"Okay. I just wanted to know. Listen. Right now. I mean this very second, I want you to let your rage take control. Think if everything that makes you upset. I'll stand behind that bush and you need to destroy everything! Now." I run behind the bush and watch her. She stands up and says everything out loud.
"The people who don't care about me." Her wand starts to glow. "My parents leaving." A case of rocks break. "People babying me!" Her hair starts levitating. "For not understanding what I am!!" She starts to float.
"And-and for Pierce LEAVING ME!!!" Everything around her blows into pieces. Pierce tries to go after her but I hold him back.
"Just let her anger take her this time. She needs this." She floated down and sank to her knees gently. I walk over to her.
"Are you okay?" She nods her head.
"I don't ever want that to happen again." She says.
"That's why you're here. I can help you with that!" She looks up and smiles.
"Okay. I'm ready to learn."
"Good. First lesson, learn to deal with the past!" I go behind the bush and drag out Pierce. His face is hard. She looks at him with soft but scared eyes.
"Pierce?" He nods.
"What do you want?" He snaps.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to yell at you!" He turns his head.
"Whatever."
"Okay kids. Enough fighting. You need to learn how to cope with this. You'll always run into the past." She nods.
"Pierce, I really didn't mean to tell at you. I'm sorry!" Pierce doesn't move.
"Whatever! Because of your stupid temper no one will be your friend!!" I grab Pierce's shoulder and throw him back.
"Are you mad!?" I yell at him. "She can't control it!!!"
"WELL SHE CAN LEARN!!"
"THAT'S WHAT IM TEACHING HER YOU MUCK UP!!!" I scream.
"I'M THE MUCK UP?! AT LEAST I HAVE CONTROL!!!"
"IS THAT WHY TOURE SCREAMING!!" He throws a punch at me but I dodge it and knock him back words. He runs at me and we get into a full on brawl. He gets some good blows on me but before either if us could win, Hermione comes storming out.
"YOU IDIOTS!!" She smacks on the back of our heads. "STOP FIGHTING!" I run the back of my head and smile at her.
"It's his fault!!" Pierce shouts. I glare at him.
"You're the one you lost his temper!! You wouldn't forgive Lyla when you know that she has trouble with her temper!! I'm trying to teach her but you-"
"Enough!!" She yells!
"What?!" Pierce says.
"You two are acting like 5-year-olds! Si! You need to teach her better! Instead of letting her watch out blow up let her watch that you're easy going!" Hermione yells at me. She turns to Pierce. "This is your fault to begin with! She came to apologize and you almost killed her!"
"How do you know?!"
"The entire school knows!!" I look back at Lyla who is leaning against the tree. An occasional tear would slip down her cheek.
"I'm going back to my room to read. I suggest that Pierce does the same while Lyla and Si stay here." She walks off without another word. Pierce looks at Lyla then leaves. I walk over to her and sit down.
LYLA
Josiah sits next to me and looks at me.
"I'm sorry Lyla. I didn't mean to let you see that." He says.
"It's fine Si. I just- I thought that a Pierce would forgive me." I choke. He puts an arm around me.
"He will eventually. I know he will." He assures me. I nod my head lean against him.
"I thought that he would be different. I thought I actually had a chance!" Tears stream down my face. He comforts me.
"Hey, it's okay. He will forgive you." I nod my head and wipe away my tears.
"I'm ready for some training Si."
"Okay. Lets get to it."
