She walked her way towards the nearby grocery letting the wind hit her freckled face  and blowing away her wavy red hair. She has off duty tomorrow and for that she thought of treating herself as she knew she deserved it.  After entering the quiet 24/7 store. She let her stomach lead the way.

She came towards the ice-cream isle and looked around in pure bliss. She looked at a yummy looking pistachio ice-cream and she heard her tummy growl.

"Yup that's the one" she said in happiness while she took the 500ml box from the freezer.

She looked around to make sure that no one was watching. She stared at the box and said proudly "you are the chosen one".

She skipped her way towards the counter already imagining her devouring the ice cream while watching some Disney movies and being cozy in her woolen blanket next to her loving dog.

"how much is it?" she asked lightly blowing the bangs away from her face.

After the beeping sound has stopped and a minute of silence later the teenage boy replied "that would be seven fifty mam".

"Seriously? Mam? We've known each other for seven whole years Evan. Plus I am not that old for you to call me mam .....old man I am only 18" she said trying to hide her smile.

"geez I was only trying to be respectful towards my customers" the teenage boy around the same age as her chuckled while raising his hands up in defense. She rolled her eyes.

"Hey gloria, I saw you talking to your ice-cream" the boy said after receiving the money from the girl in front of him.

"Why are you surprised?" she said rolling her eyes.

"That's the thing... I'm not" he said amused.

"Hey guess what? " gloria asked grabbing his attention while he leaned towards the counter.

"I am having off tomorrow " gloria said and wiggled her eyebrows at him.

"WAIT! WHAT?!!? How is that possible? " he asked completely jealous of her for the first time.

"Well Manager Lusy said that I have worked so hard for so many years. She said I needed to rest and that I was a little part of the reason why the restaurant is stable and grand as always" Gloria said proudly already opening the box of ice cream as she couldn't contain her happiness and grabbed a plastic spoon beside her and took off the wrapper from it. While wiggling her eyebrows at evan.

"Want some?" she asked Evan who nodded eagerly.

"And keyword she said a little part of the reason" he said grinning at her.

"No more ice-cream from you" Gloria said and took the ice-cream out of reach for Evan. "Besides I get a month off so I can finally take your mom to Switzerland" she beamed.

"Keyword, MY mom "he said and earned a weak punch from Gloria.

"She deserves more than a son that lives in her basement like a creep" she says and rolled her pale blue eyes. Evan scoffed and touched his heart to indicate that he got hurt.

"You know, you have done a lot for my mom and I still don't get why you don't want to live under your parent's luxury. You can literally buy a mansion IN FREAKING BRAZIL. It's every teenagers dream to get a mansion to them self and even better not have any one to nag them around" Evan stated.

"Why would I want to when my family lives here? And besides you know I'm not that type of girl" she said smiling as she can imagine the happy warm smile her mom would give when she shows the tickets. The only person that accepted her and took her in not for money but with love and kindness. Gloria smiled warmly at the thought.
