The Match

Warm beams of sunlight caressed my face and the effervescent melody of birdsong woke us up. Today's the big day, the first Quidditch match of the year. Today, it's Slytherin against Ravenclaw. I slip on my silver and emerald green robe and start getting ready. First, I've got Potions with Professor Snape, and then the match begins. As I'm sitting on my bed trying to wake up properly, last night suddenly comes rushing back to me. My God, what were we doing? I want to avoid Draco this morning so I sneak out of the dormitories and sprint across the Common Room and into the hall outside. I sigh quietly and make my way to the Great Hall. I woke up quite early and so it wasn't very crowded. That would give me some time to eat something by myself without having to rush. Sitting down and enjoying my pancakes I feel the thud of someone sitting next to me. I ignore it and carry on chewing until the person reaches out to me and guides my chin to look up at him. I expected Draco, but surprisingly, it was Blaise Zabini. His dark steely eyes looked into mine and a smile tugs at the corner of his mouth. He smells of cologne and has a smile that can light up a thousand rooms.
"Good morning princess," he chirps.
"Good morning to you too, long time no see!"
"Ready for the match today?"
"With someone built like you surely we'll take the win." I grin. He seems surprised by my playful mood and ruffles my hair. He leans in and asks quietly if I'd like to go to Honeydukes with him after the big match.
"We'll see. I may go with Draco." Blaise frowns at the mention of Draco's name. He composes himself, nods and gets up to leave. Before he leaves, I grab his hand and pull him back.
"I'll see you there." He seems relieved and smiles and gives my hand a light squeeze. He nods once again and leaves. I smile to myself and get up from the table, packing up my things and heading to Potions. Today Snape is teaching us about Polyjuice Potions. While watching the board, I can feel Draco's stare burning into the back of my skull. I look over at  Pansy and as usual, she's staring at him as if he's some rare creature. At the end of the lesson, Professor Snape asks for a full essay done on Polyjuice Potions by the end of the week. Everyone groans, but I pack my things and leave as quickly as I can and sprint to the changing rooms. I greet Pansy and get changed into my Quidditch uniform as fast as I can. I grab my broom and go out to the pitch. Blaise and Cho Chang along with other players are already standing around discussing tactics. Blaise spots me and grins while walking up to me. I run up to him and hug him.
"Good luck, Blaise."
"You too, princess." Out of nowhere, Draco appears behind me and scoffs.
"What did you just call her?" He steps forward and looks Blaise straight in the eyes. Blaise seems if anything, amused. He pats Draco's shoulder and snickers.
"She's not your property. I can call her whatever I want to." He walks away and gets on him broomstick, flying up high. Draco turns to me.
"As for you why have you been ign-" I cut him off.
"The match is about to start." I fly up on my broomstick and take my position by the goal. The audience takes their seats and there are hints of green and navy all throughout the crowd. Just before the match starts, Blaise flies up to me and wishes me good luck. Draco stared at him furiously. Why is he acting like this?
Madame Hooch blows the whistle and throws the ball into the air. The game starts off, ball going back and forth, until a Ravenclaw player is speeding towards me, ready to shoot. I get in my position and twist on my broom and catch the ball before it goes into the hoop. Everyone cheers, but Blaise the loudest. Draco looks down at me, sadness written on his face. I smile at him and some of his sorrow seems to fade away. Half an hour passes, and it's Slytherin winning against Ravenclaw by 20 points. All is well until a loud announcement booms and echoes across the stadium, telling us that Cho Chang has caught the Golden Snitch. Loud boos are coming from the Slytherin side, which is soon overlapped by the cries of joy from Ravenclaw. I fly down on the pitch and start making my way to the Common Room, shoulders slumped and sweat covering my brow. I hear fast steps coming up behind me and a steady hand placed on my shoulder.
Blaise turns me around and hugs me.
"I'm sorry, you played well."
"It's okay, it happens. You played well too."
"Meet you in the Common Room in 10?"
"Yeah." I smile. He nods and walks to the dungeons. I stop and rest for a second and take the loss in. Without notice, a loud sigh is heard beside me. Draco moves and stands in front of me, hands cupping my face. He rests his head on my shoulder and wraps himself around me.
"I'm so sorry. It's my fault that we lost- I- I got so upset seeing you with Blaise and I- I-" I hold him closer and play with his hair. He looks up to me, tears on his face. I frown at the sight of him being such a mess over such a small thing and wipe his tears off his face and hold his head against me, comforting him. He sniffles against me and we sit together in silence.
"It's not your fault sweetheart. It's okay. Shh."
When his breathing and crying calms down, I take his hand and lead him back to the common room. Blaise is sitting by the fireplace, apparently waiting for me.
"Hey are you ready to g-" He stops in his tracks and looks down at my hand holding Draco's. He clears his throat.
"Are you ready to go, princess?" I hesitate.
"Can we reschedule for tomorrow?" He stares at me with no emotion and nods, turns his back to me and goes up to the dorms. I turn to Draco, who was looking at me in awe.
"Go get changed. We can go on a stroll together while its still light outside." He smiles weakly and goes to get changed. I run up the stairs to my room and quickly put on some jeans and a sweater. Few minutes later, we meet in the Common Room and go out to the fountain together. We sit down, his head in my lap and me gently stroking his hair. Finally, he sits up.
"Promise me that you will never replace me with Blaise." I laugh.
"You're serious? I would never. He's sweet I guess but you're my best friend." Draco groans.
"But I don't want to be just best friends."
I blink dumbly at him.
"W-what do you mea-" Before I can finish my sentence, Draco is cupping my face with his warm hand and pressing his soft lips against mine. He tastes so sweet, and I can't help but to want more and so I kiss him back. He pushes himself against me and we fall deeper and deeper into our kiss. Finally, when we part, we are both out of breath and flushed.
"Let's continue this somewhere else." It's dark outside and I feel so alive as Draco and I run together, hand in hand, trying not to get caught. Finally, we once again find an empty classroom, which so happens to have a couch at the back. I lock the door behind us, and as soon as I turn around, Draco grabs me and pins me up against the wall, roughly kissing me, hand once again, wrapped around my neck, so tightly that it makes it hard to breathe, but I enjoy it. Slowly, he starts kissing my neck and breathing heavily. Next thing I know, I'm slammed down on the couch at the back and Draco is taking off his belt. He takes my sweater off and his own as well. It's like time froze as I admired those abs of his, his silhouette choking me against the soft fabric beneath me, lips parted and a wicked smile creeping on his face. He starts kissing my stomach and works up from there, soon moving onto sucking my neck and I can't help but let out a soft moan. He grins against my skin.
"You like that don't you?" He whispers in my ear. Biting my lip, I nod and dig my nails into his back. He groans and turns me around, putting my hands on my back and wrapping his belt around my wrists, restricting my movement. He turns me back around and kisses me passionately, choking me at the same time. He reaches to unzip his pants but pauses. I look up at him confused. He grins wickedly.
"If you're a good girl, it's all yours. But not tonight. You're not so lucky." He unties me and kisses my neck again. He puts on his sweater and I put mine on too. Without knowing what to say, I walk towards the door but before I unlock it, his strong hand pulls me back by my hair.
"You're mine now. Nobody else's." He groans.
He lifts my chin up.
"Do you understand?" I nod. He presses his lips against mine one last time, and I can't help but notice how sweet he tastes, and how good this feels.
"Good girl."
