Onward To Love (Ian x Oc)

Talk with Barley / Into The Woods

As the trio drove out of town. They began driving down a little bumpy road. Willow was sitting in the front seat with Barley and Ian was standing in between them.

Ian: You sure this is the right way?

Willow looked down at the map she had before smiling and answering

Willow: Positive. It says here we should be coming up on the Echanted forest

Barley: We'll need to keep our guard up in these woods. It can pretty dangerous if your not prepared and ready.

They been driving almost all day. They had stopped earlier that day to a store to get them some supplies. Like camping gear, food, and drinks. Throughout that time Ian had caught Willow looking at her watch quite a bit. He knew that she was scared that they wouldn't get to the dark Phoenix gem in time. The watch now read. 6 days and 4 hours. Barley said it might take at least four days to get the Dark Phoenix gem.

Barley: Looks like this is it.

The van stopped and up ahead of them were some dark looking woods. They looked scary but it was nighttime. Everything looked scarier at night.

Barley: We'll head out in the morning.

Willow was about to protest but Barley stopped her.

Barley: It's too dangerous to go in the Enchanted woods at night. There are lots of dangerous magical creatures at night. I know you want to get the Dark Phoenix gem as fast as possible. But relax we'll still have five days to get there.

Willow sighed. She knew Barley was right but a part of her was terrified that they wouldn't get it in time. Ian sat in the back watching the whole thing. He knew Willow was scared and she had every right to be. The demon that got her mother killed wanted to take her powers and use them to hurt people. He would be scared to if it were him in that situation.

Barley started to set up the tents. There were only two tents. So him and Barley would be sharing one while Willow had the other one. They started a fire and ate some of the food they had brought. Willow told them some stories about her family history. She was not only trained as a wizard but was trained as a witch too. Her aunt who was a witch had taught everything thing she knows about witchcraft. It was her grandmother who taught her what she knows about being a wizard.

Ian: What about your dad? Is he wizard or does he know any kind of magic?

Willow: No my dad doesn't. He works at very big business. He met my mom when she was running away from demons who attacked her. My dad was ok with her being a wizard. They hit it off, got married, and next thing you know I was born.

It got quite until Willow continued

Willow: After Mom died he didn't really want me to have anything to do with magic. It was my grandma and Aunt on my mom's side who convinced him to let me train. But honestly I think a part of the reason why he did it. Was because he knew I would need to train so I could stop Damien.

Things grew quite again before Ian reached out to hold Willow's hand and said

Ian: Hey I promise we're gonna do everything we can to stop Damien.

Willow smiled before she yawned and said

Willow: Well I'm gonna head to bed. Good night

She went in her tent. Leaving Barley and Ian alone.

Ian: Yeah good night

When he looked over at Barley. Who had that smirk on his face.

Ian: (laughs) What?

Barley: Are you kidding me. What do you mean what? Ian dude you are seriously crushing on her.

Ian: No I'm not. Look even if I was. I can't focus on that right now. We have to get that Dark Phoenix gem and break Willow's curse.

Barley: Well Ian did you ever think that you could be the one to break her curse.

Ian confused said

Ian: Well yeah I could get the Dark Phoenix gem and fight Damien.

Barley: I'm not talking about breaking it like that.

It toke Ian a minute to realize what Barley was talking about.

Ian: You mean I could kiss her?

Barley nodded and immediately Ian started rambling

Ian: I.... I...I ...I can't. What if I'm not her soulmate? It wouldn't work!

Barley stopped him before he could wake up Willow.

Barley: Look I get what your saying Ian. I do. I would be scared too if I were in your situation. But look at it this way. If we somehow don't get the Dark Phoenix. It might come down to you having no choice but to do it. Or if we do beat Damian and break Willow's curse. Your gonna spend the rest of your life wondering if it would've worked or not. I guess what I'm trying to say is you'll never if it's going to work unless you try it.

Barley went in the tent. Leaving Ian to process what Barley had said. He knew Barley was right but he was still scared that if he did kiss her and it didn't work it would hurt him in the end. He sighed before getting in the tent and going to sleep.

The Next Morning

That morning they packed their stuff and got ready to go in the Enchanted forest. Barley said they couldn't take Guinevere 2.0 with them. So they would have to go on foot. As they went in the Enchanted woods. They followed Willow as she was reading the map. Ian had his wizard staff out and ready in case something happened. But so far they were good.

That was until out of nowhere a growling creature popped out of the bushes.

Barley: It's a wolf dragon!

Willow quickly put the map away. The wolf dragon jumped and Ian yelled

Ian: Aloft Elevar!!

The dragon stopped midair and Ian threw it away from them. But it quickly got up and it let out a fiery breath at Barley. Who managed to avoid it. Suddenly Willow ran up, hands glowing and yelled

Willow: fiery creature of death
fire shall take your very breath!

Suddenly the dragons wings caught on fire and the wolf dragon quickly ran away deep into the woods. Leaving the trio alone.

Ian: What was that?!

Willow: (Smiled) A spell my aunt taught me.

Ian: Maybe you could teach me how to do it too

Willow walked up to him and kissed him on the cheek.

Willow: Sure if you think you got what it takes!

They both walked away and Barley followed a smile on his face.
