Chapter 1:The train

July 23, 1998, Raccoon Forest 20:17In another train, passenger voices can be heard. At a table, there was a man chatting with a woman, "Really?".

"Hmm, do you think so too?" said the woman.

"Yeah," said a bald man.

At another corner of the train, there was a white man asking "...do about it?"

The black man next to him answered "We should hold off for a while."

The other man added, "I wonder how those RNP people will react to this?"

Then, a man with glasses heard splattering sounds, "Hmm?".So he peers out the window, soon dozens of monsters latch onto the window, and gasps. More leeches follow, until the window is covered with them, that made the man screams and leaps from his seat. Monsters, which had a giant tongue, fall from the ceiling latching onto the passengers as they panic and scream.

July 23, 1998, Above Raccoon Forest 22:17 S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team helicopter.

"It began as a simple investigation of some bizarre murders in the suburbs of Raccoon City. Nothing in our training could ever have prepared us for the nightmare that ensued. We never stood a chance."~ Rebecca Chambers

The S.T.A.R.S Bravo Team composed of Enrico Marini, Forest Speyer, Richard Aiken, Kenneth J.Sullivan, Edward Dewey, Rebecca Chambers, Kevin Dooley, and Kate Bishop, went to the train's accident, the motor of the helicopter exploded.

" What's going on?" asked Enrico.

"Engine failure! Emergency landing!" answered Edward.

The helicopter rapidly descends into the forest banging against the trees. The helicopter lands roughly but in one piece. Bravo Team exits the chopper. Rebecca taking a moment to flash a "thumbs up" to Kevin who sends a quick salute before the door slams shut.

"Check the current position and investigate the surrounding area," said Enrico.

" Captain! Look!" gasped Rebecca, showing an overturned MP vehicle.

Kate used a flashlight to illuminate the truck, as the light pans over some dead bodies are discovered. Rebecca gaped as she witnessed the scene. Enrico peers over a dead body.

" Captain!" said Rebecca.

"Hmm? What happened?" sais Enrico.

Enrico turns away and moves towards Rebecca. Kate picks up a file from an open case on the ground and reads it aloud, while the others approach them, "Court order for transportation. Prisoner: Billy Coen, ex-lieutenant, 26 years old. Court marshaled and sentenced to death on July 22. The prisoner is to be transferred to the Ragathon Base for execution."

Edward takes the memo from Kate, "Those poor soldiers. They were good men just doing their jobs and that scum murdered them and escaped!"

Enrico snatches the memo from Edward, "Alright everyone! Let's separate and survey the area. Our new friend is brutal and ruthless. Keep your guard up!"

Rebecca searches in the forest with Kate as a backup, both with weapons on their hand, until a loud noise is heard from behind them. They turned to see a train sitting motionless on the tracks and begins to approach it. They heard some voices so Kate decided to go first. The wagon, they enter in, was empty so they continue to the next until they arrived at the one, where the sounds coming from, "This is officer Chambers and Bishop from S.T.A.R.S. Bravo team. Please identify yourself."

Rebecca starts walking down the aisle. "Is someone there?"The man in the chair comes into view to reveal that he is long been dead. Rebecca gasped. Kate noticed the voices coming from a portable radio on the floor. As she bent to pick it up the man in the seat gets up and reaches for her. Rebecca turned to flee and sees more of the "dead" people blocking the way. Kate began to shoot to the dead people.

"What just happened? I, I thought they were dead..?" said Rebecca. "I don't know," Kate frowns. But they continued the research on the train.

In a cabin, they found a passenger diary, which was detailing experimentation, Rebecca was reading with interest but Kate was understanding nothing so she abandoned. Mia would have shared the same interest as Rebecca, but not her. Sometimes, she wonders why the girls weren't on the same team. They pursued their investigation and found in another cabin an investigation report about the Arklay Mountains and Umbrella. It seems that the people of this train are related to Umbrella. Weird...They also located a dead body at the door to the Engine Car. The body is holding a key in its hand. As Rebecca reaches for it a man steps up behind her a gun at Kate's head. They turned to him "Billy, Lieutenant Coen." said Rebecca.

"So, you seem to know me. Been fantasizing about me have you?"

"You're the prisoner that was being transferred for execution. You were with those soldiers outside," said Kate.

"Oh, I see. You're with S.T.A.R.S., well, no offense, honey, but your kind doesn't seem to want me around. So, I'm afraid our little chat time is over," said Billy.

Billy holsters his weapon then turns to leave, Rebecca followed "Wait! You're under arrest!"

"No thanks, doll-face. I've already worn handcuffs," replied Billy. Billy displays the broken handcuffs on his left wrist then leaves, Rebecca calls after him.

"I could shoot you know!" said Kate, but didn't do it anyway. She doesn't think he was related to the event. Rebecca exhales in frustration.

Moments later a gravely injured Edward comes crashing through the window. Rebecca rushes over to him,"Edward! Are you all right? What happened?"

"It's worse than.w..we can't..y..you must be careful, girls. The forest is full of z..zombies and..monsters."

"Zombies and monsters?" said a questioning Rebecca. Edward dies and moments later a large beast crashes through the window. The monster is revealed to be a large dog. The animal's flesh is rotting and bones are exposed. The beast growls and starts towards the girls. The young women tried to find a way out. In the end, Kate shoots at it, until it stopped to move. They're continued their way on the train. In a darkened passenger car, Kate received a radio call from Enrico."This is Kate, over."

"Kate, can you hear me? This is Enrico. What's your location? Over."

"Enrico! Hello? Can you read me? Please respond."

"Kate, I can hear you now listen up! We've obtained detailed information on the fugitive from a document found in the wrecked wagon. Billy Coen killed as many as 23 people. Over."

Rebecca, who joined her, was nervous about the news "23 people."

"We've also confirmed that he was institutionalized, so keep your guard up. Can you hear me, Rebecca? Over. Stay alert, Kate. He wouldn't think twice about killing you."

"Enrico? Captain! Hello? HELLO?" tried Rebecca.

But nobody answers.
