Chapter 9: When did we get a pool?

#868 in Fantasy!? Sweet. (January 10th, 2015)

I finally make it to the castle gates after Disney knows how long! I know I know, I’m a wizard why not just flash myself here? Well I had a slight problem with that...

Mystery guy continued to chase after me and aside from being very flattering it was extremely annoying, I can’t just flash away when someone has eyes on you so it took a while to find a hiding place. Stupid witches and their inability to flash away. Anyway on top of that problem the castle has a magic proof barrier, it’s like a super thin dome made out of our water. No charm or spell can sustain itself within the dome and it is extremely hard to flash into it, I’m happy I ended up this close to the gates in the first place.

The guards see me and immediately open the gates, rushing me inside. Oh, no I’m not in danger it’s just that today the weather decided to pour buckets, and to say I’m drench would be a massive understatement. As soon as I step foot inside a servant wraps a towel around me and I clench it tightly.

“Where is Lilly I need to see her, she is probably freaking out,” The servants exchange strange glances but they soon tell me to head to the ballroom. Much to peoples protests that exactly where I go, I don’t care if I ‘have to get warm’ she’s probably a wreck from me arriving home so late, that’s probably why the servants shared glances.

I swing open the large doors and run into the beautiful baby blue painted ballroom. This is definitely my favorite room, I’m not much for parties but it's just so pretty, especially the gigantic chandelier the hangs in the center spreading out into lines of twinkly lights that cascade themselves down the walls nearly touching the white marble floor.

I spot my sister amongst the mass of people moving chairs, setting up tables, and decorating anything that doesn’t move but I’m pretty sure Wilfred has an orchid in his hair so don’t hold me to that. Lilly sits comfortably cross-legged on top of a table holding a clipboard, and jotting things down. Oh Disney, I have seen this plenty times before and for two socially awkward Queens… It never ends well

“Are you planning a party?” I ask, a little stunned.

She continues to look down at the clipboard, not sparing me a glance “Yes, It was going to be tomorrow night but I just think we need an extra day for all the planning and the guests,” she mumbles, when she finally looks up she cringes at my wet, deranged appearance “When did we get a pool?”

“What? Have you not noticed that I’ve been gone all day? Lilly I just got back,” I tell her, wow so much for her caring. Lilly sits there shocked, biting her lip. A minute later she finally gets up and stalks over to me, I smile wide expecting a hug, which yes if very uncommon for her but I certainly wasn’t expecting a slap over the head!

“Why did you take so long?” She demanded.

“You didn’t even notice I was gone!” I shriek, my Disney I am really feeling the love right now.

Lilly holds her hands level with her shoulders “Hey isn’t it his job to worry about that,” She defends pointing behind her and the General who is sitting at a table, his feet lounged across a row of chairs, oh and he’s eating grapes. Ladies and gentlemen that is how you act like a professional, not.

“Oh and it’s his job to show me sisterly love too?” I ask, crossing my arms over my chest. I am really not impressed with her right now.

“I don’t care how much you pay me but I am not braiding anyone’s hair or listening to boy problems, I have to protect you physically, emotionally? You can come to me and I’ll point you to Wilfred” The General states, why did we hire him? “And for the record I did notice you were gone, hence the small group of soldiers searching the East woods just as a percussion but I am well aware you can handle yourself out there so they were called back the second you stepped foot in the castle.”

Wow. He’s good, he’s really good.

“Seriously can you mess up once? My Disney Athena can we please bring back that whole beheading the people we hate thing?” Lilly asks me, completely serious I might add. A thump sounded and I turned my head to see that Knox had fallen on the ground, face pale in fear. Okay… so something happened between them when I was gone.

I look back at Lilly and give an honest reply “Too much paperwork,” Lilly seems to think over this information and finally accepts it, I hear Knox let out a breath of relief “Anyway what’s with the party?”

And that’s when Wilfred jumps in between me and my sister, delivering the best news ever! “Peter went to get Chloe!” I don’t pay attention as Lilly slaps him upside the head; I’m too busy jumping up and down cheering!

“See Lilly why can’t you be like that?” I hear Knox mutter but I’m just too busy doing a happy dance to witness her reaction.

Picture ^ or > is of the pretty castle gates, I know a boring choice and it's more of a fence but I didn't know what else to put... maybe a pool, wouldn't that confuse you? Also I'm thinking about posible cast members... any ideas?
