Chapter 3(Heather's pov)

I walked until I saw a snowy forest, I was reluctant to go into the forest at first, but I continued anyway. About what I think was an hour passed and I saw a deer and the Northern Lights. It was night and I saw the full moon. The sight was beautiful but I cried a bit because I missed Sam. I wondered what happened to her, but I suddenly realised how cold it was in the forest. I had to find shelter. I saw smoke in the distance so I headed in the direction it was coming from.

What is this place? It seems to be abandoned, but how is there smoke? I wonder what is causing the smoke, and the house looks like it has been maintained, but life other than in the forest and myself seem to be nonexistent. I have a look inside and see furniture and a few appliances for preparing food.

I wondered again why there was a fire
and an abandoned, but well restored and kept cottage in the deepest part of the woodland.
