"I know you missed me, Jun-ah. That's why I came over" InHye felt bad. Once she leaves his house, InHye won't see Renjun anymore— But she didn't know if that would change or not. "But I need to distance myself-"

"No, you don't. I'll take care of you, forever. You can trust me I promise not to hurt you. I'm not going to I let anyone hurt you" His eyes couldn't hold any more tears, so they fell uncontrollably. InHye's eyes quickly soften, wiping his tears with the back of her hand.

"I'm sorry Jun I can't stay-"

"Please InHye, please... I miss you so much, my heart can't take it when I'm so far away from you" Renjun gripped her waist and cried harder into her shoulder.

"I..." InHye wanted to stay away from danger, but Renjun seemed so heartbroken, so sullen without her presence.

"InHye please stay with me..." His cries and sniffles made her thoughts disappear as she began to comfort him. "I just want to stay with you and make you happy. I don't want you to be so far, so distant"

Her mind and her heart were fighting, fighting about what she should do. It was a strong battle between the two, there was no telling who would win.

"Renjun-ah..." She looked down at him, wiping more of his tears. "Let me go get a tissue"

As she got up, Renjun laid back in his bed, sighing loudly. "I never knew that I could cry this hard"

He still had a stuffy nose, puffy red eyes, and wet cheeks from all the crying but, he felt so calm in her arms. It was like her warmth and comfort was the most soothing thing in the universe.

Once InHye came back with a tissue box, she sat next to Renjun, making sure he felt comfortable again. She lightly placed her index finger and middle finger under his chin, grabbing a tissue and slowly dabbing his wet cheeks.

"Why are you crying so much Jun?"

"I need you to stay..." Renjun laced their hands together, giving her hand a little squeeze. "My life will never ever be the same without you"

InHye was still patting his cheeks dry because his tears still wouldn't stop.

"I would but-"

"I told you that I would protect you from anything bad, I'll keep you away from the danger. I'll never even let you near it" Renjun slowly pushed her hand down, looking at her straight in the eyes. InHye watched her hand go down, and then looked back at Renjun.

"Ok... But you promise?" Renjun nodded his head, sticking out his pinky finger to make a promise.

"I promise to always keep you away from the danger" They connected their pinkies, and InHye instantly hugged him tightly.

"I missed you too"
