Chapter 2
Olivia's POV
"Please? You never go out Liv! You're like a hermit! Go out and have some fun! For your loving little sister?"
I sighed as I watched Katie kneel on the ground and look up at me with her big blue puppy-dog eyes. I rolled me eyes and chuckled at the sight.
Ten year olds could be such pains in the ass sometimes.
It was 10pm on a Sunday night and I was spending it on my bed, with my earphones blasting cheesy pop music, reading fanfiction on the Internet.
And no matter how many people found that sad or pitiful, I was completely and utterly okay with spending my evening like this.
I looked at the invite, that had been mass texted to all of Bridgewater High's 2015 seniors, on my phone screen for what seemed like the millionth time.
'Come along to Finn Crawford's mega bash before senior year comes along!
Where: 14 Gilford Rd
When: Sunday, 10:30pm
Who: Bridgewater seniors ONLY
Be there for the party of the year!'No matter how negatively I felt about my Bridgewater peers, I had to commend whoever sent the text for their decent spelling and grammar.
And it probably was going to be the party of the year too. Especially if Crawford was holding it.
Finn Crawford was the Bridgewater Golden Boy; perfect grades, perfect family, perfect hair. Boys wanted to be him and girls wanted to have him. Everyone loved him.
Which only made me hate him.
He showed off his wealth like it was his own hard work (his family's entire worth had been inherited from his grandfather who created some huge oil company) and he always acted as if he owned the entire town.
Sure, Crawford's Oil was what put Bridgewater on the map and his family had donated to at least half of all the buildings in this crappy town.
But that didn't give him any right to trample all over us, declaring himself as the King of Bridgewater and us, his mindless minions.
He's also an only child in a happy family, something that pisses me off immensely. I see his parents and him strolling across town, hand in hand, all laughs and smiles, that were most likely genuine.
And his blatant disrespect for girls! The disgusting pervert makes my skin crawl. The way he leers at a girl like she's food or how he can walk up to any girl and start touching her with no consequences.
In fact, most girls would kill to have Crawford even notice them.
All girls except me.
The fact that I've even been thinking about him this much makes me want to throw up.
So no, Katie. I'm not going to attend his stupid party.
I scowl at her until she leaves, arms crossed and adorable heart-shaped face flushed.
Sure, I had my personal reasons on why the idea of attending Crawford's party made me sick to my stomach but there were more serious issues too.
Our parents.
Mum and Dad had enough to argue about already. They fought all the time about everything and anything.
I still shudder remembering long nights when Katie used to crawl into my bed and we'd cry silently together as our parents' infuriated screams echoed in our small house.
The matter of me leaving to attend a party the night before school started would probably result in them tearing each other's throats out.
My thumb presses firmly down on the 'delete' button so Crawford's party was out of my system.
