Erion slowly opened his eyes. The view was blurry, but he could make out hints of white and gold.
"Erion..." A faint voice called in a sing-song tone. "Wakey wakey..."
Erion rubbed his eyes and sat up. He was trapped in the middle of a golden temple-like room in the middle of an abyss of purple smoke. The floor was entirely golden, and so were the towering columns that held up the ceiling. Floating magical lights surrounded the columns, providing extra light. At the end of the room was a floating throne.
"Greetings, Erion." Said a voice. Erion looked behind him. Ma'at was walking towards him with an evil, taunting smile. This time her eyes were normal with blue pupils. She was holding a golden greatbow. "Do you like it? Welcome to my little club."
"YOU!" Erion screamed, standing up. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY FRIENDS?!?"
"Aww, the poor little elf wants to see his little friends again! In that case, I must satisfy his wishes." Ma'at pointed towards a corner of the room, where there were five giant, column-sized worms. The worms were yellow, and each had a maw of sharp, venomous teeth at the tips. Each worm had a member of Erion's party trapped in their grasp. "As you can see, I have all of your friends restrained."
"ERION!!! HELP US!!!!" Screamed Magon.
"Me' beard is getting all slimy!" Shouted Huffey.
"Why! Just... WHY!" Shouted Tikana in agony.
"YOU LET US GO RIGHT NOW!" Commanded Norder.
"Worms! So disgusting!" Said Frostine, struggling to find a way out.
Erion drew his sword and angrily rushed toward Ma'at.
"Sacrum Flamma!" Ma'at threw a ball of light toward Erion. He instantly jumped away just in time, landing prone on the ground. "If you want to free them, I'm not the one you should fight. If you do fight me, I'll pulverize you in an instant. Instead, you can fight my pets!"
Erion got up. "Don't you worry, guys, I'm coming!" He ran up to the worm who was holding Magon. The worm attempted to bite Erion's head, but when it descended, Erion jumped away, causing the worm to slam his head onto the ground. Erion jumped and landed a blow into the worm's head. "Magon, cast a managrasp!"
Now that the worm was weakened, Magon was able to raise his arm out of the worm's grasp. "Brannbola!" He exclaimed. He shot the fireball toward the worm's injured head, who died instantly after being hit by the managrasp. "Well, that was quick." Commented Magon, crawling out of the dead worm's grasp.
"Magon, behind you!" Screamed Erion. There, behind Magon was Frostine's worm. The worm opened its maw wide, and went down to swallow, only for Magon to blast it with Brannbola.
"Why don't you use Skikra?!" Asked Erion.
"The electricity will circulate through the worm's body and will reach Frostine!" Replied Magon. "I need to use non-lightning spells!"
"Good idea!" Replied Erion, who slashed the wurm twice again. The first blow bounced off the wurm's hide, but the last one was powerful enough to leave a giant gaping cut in its stomach.
"Urchan Drodeil!" Shouted Magon. Magon shot a barrage of blue mana bullets at the wurm. The beams struck various parts of its body, wounding it greatly.
Erion jumped. "Take THIS!" Erion landed his sword into the wurm's gut, killing it completely. Effortlessly, Frostine climbed out. "You okay, Frostine?"
"Yeah, I just need to get this gross wurm goo off of me!" Frostine exclaimed, wiping liquid off of her body. "Let's free Huffey next!"
