Vera's POV

"Dada, I promise. This is the last time I'm gonna cry. I promise that they'll pay for what they done. If you saw Mom there, tell her I miss her." I touched his tomb and I let my tears flow for the last time.

Nandito ako ngayon sa puntod ni Dada. Weekend ngayon kaya naisip kong bisitahin sya. Hindi ko na nasaksihan yung libing nya dahil yun yung time na lunod ako sa sakit na di ko nagawang makapunta. Matagal tagal na din since the tragedy happened. I was weak back then. But now? I'm different. I'll make sure this time, they're dead.

Nilapag ko na yung dala kong bouquet ng bulaklak sa puntod ni Dada. He has no particular kind of flower that likes so I bought my Mom's favorite flower, peach colored peonies. I stood up now and wiped all of my tears. I feel better now.

I was about to head at the car, when my phone rings. Unknown number? I set aside my thoughts regarding who is this instead, I answered it.

"Yes Hello?"

("Hello Miss Moore. It's me, Mr. Blancard. You're grandfather's companion. I know it's late to said condolence but I hope you still accept it.")

"It's okay. Why did you call anyway?"

("I'm going to tell you something, Miss Moore. But first, we need to meet here at headquarters. It's not quite appropriate telling you over the phone.")

"Okay okay."

After half an hour drive, we arrived at the headquarters. It isn't just an ordinary headquarters. It's luxurious and quite isolated.

"Here. He's Bill. An underling of Damon." Mr. Blancard said then may pinatong sya sa mesa. We're on the private office of my Dada. Kinuha ko yung picture sa mesa at tinignan yun ng ilang segundo.

I started to tremble in anger and to burst out in tears but I promised that I won't waste my tears anymore so I tried to calm myself by closing my eyes and breathing deeply. Gladly I did. The feeling inside me slowly gone.

"You okay?" nag-angat yung tingin ko nang magsalita si Mr. Blancard.
