When He Calms the Storm

The big storm

Matthew was just lying down on his bed and was just staring at the ceiling when he felt weird. He immediately closed his eyes and feel his surroundings. As he close his eyes, and focus on his other senses, he heard a lot of foot steps downstairs, he immediately knew that its someone he doesn't know, the sound of the foot steps are different from the foot steps of the people he knows. He quickly went to his veranda and looked around, when he didn't saw anyone outside, he quickly went up to the roof. There were 5 people downstairs that is wearing a mask with guns on their hands. While Mr. Kim is on his way to matthew, he reported to the provincial police about the death threat they received for matthew, he immediately asked them to go to Matthew's house to check for his safety. Per his request, the police department sent 10 police officers to Matthew's house. While matthew was on the roof, he recalled that he has a gun under his bed, so he quickly went back there and got his gun, when he heard the footsteps near his door, he has no time to go back to the roof so he immediately went to the darkest corner of his room and waited for them to open the door, when the door opened, he immediately shot them in the leg and hands. Matthew have an experience on holding and firing a gun, he got that from his 2 year military practice. He managed to shot them with all the bullets he had, however 2 of them got behind the door so they weren't shot, they saw matthew crouching at a corner, one of them pointed the gun at matthew, and after that the sound of a gunshot echoed throughout the room.

The police arrived minutes before Mr. Kim and sung hoon did. The police immediately request a search request to all the police they had. When the police arrived they slowly entered Matthew's house when they saw the door wide opened, when they wnet upstairs they discovered four body lying on their own blood, they checked the pulses and they were breathing, so they immediately took them to the hospital with 5 policemen to guard and questioned them when they woke up. Mr. Kim and sung hoon arrived at the same time, and they were greeted with the policemen on the area. "What's happening?!" Sung hoon immediately asked mr. Kim when they met, Mr. Kim gave sung hoon the letter they received at the company, Mr. Kim then went to the officer in charge, "we found 4 people upstairs earlier that is shot on their legs and hands, they're now at the hospital with our officers, but we believe that none of them is Mr. Matthew, we're now having a search party for Mr. Matthew" the officer said and Mr. Kim just messed his hair and the secretary just tap him on the shoulders, "please look for him" Mr. Kim said and sung hoon went to them, "i think i know who the culprit is" sung hoon said and Mr. Kim immediately directed his attention on sung hoon, "after your call, the head nurse at the hospital told me that Matthew's father escaped, i wasn't gonna suspect him, but i remembered that he stab matthew on the arm a few weeks ago" sung hoon said and Mr. Kim can't react to what he heard, "do you have a picture of that man?" The officer asked but sung hoon shook his head, "i think he has a picture on the basement, their family portrait" Mr. Kim said and they immediately went to the basement lead by Mr. Kim. When they found it, the officer called their call center department, and told them to spread the picture of the man and Matthew, and they asked them to have checkpoints. The head nurse then called sung hoon. "Sung hoon, i sent you video, you need to watch it" melanie said and ended the call, sung hoon immediately watched the video and was so shocked, he immediately gave it to mr. Kim and the officer. The video, was a cctv footage. In the video, mart can be seen casually opening the door to Matthew's father's room, and then Matthew's father can be seen walking out of the room wearing a suit, before mart and Matthew's father walk away and escape, they both looked at the camera and smirked, as if they were just waiting for the people to see the video. The officer in charge immediately asked some policemen to go to the hospital to get their statements and the original video.

"Can't we do something?" Sung hoon asked, its been 13 hours now since matthew has gone missing they're now inside the house and policemenare everywhere, Mr. Kim just shook his head, sung hoon messed his hair out of frustrations, then suddenly an old police officer, who looks like one of the chief, and looked around and suddenly shook his head, he went to sung hoon and Mr. Kim's location, "so he's trying to kill his son again" the old police chief said, sung hoon and Mr. Kim looked at him confused, "that guy, is really sick in the head. Do you know what happened when matthew was just a child?" The chief said and both of them just shook their heads, and the police chief told them about Matthew's past.
