When He Calms the Storm

The Purpose

2 years have passed. During those years matthew and sung hoon continued on living together. In those 2 years, john finally became an artist, his drawings on Matthew's books has taken the interests of the people, specially the people who focuses on arts, now he's one of the well known artists, he gets clients and he sold his peices on auctions. Melanie, the head nurse, was appointed as the new head of the hospital. Matthew's father died while in prison because of a heart failure. The other 3, the ex governor, the ex chief and the ex head doctor is now at prison facing a lifetime sentence.

The day of the book launching of Matthew's book came, everyone is happy for matthew, for his book and for having sung hoon by his side. In the eyes of the public, the two couple seems so sweet and lovely together, but something is happening behind the curtains. During those two years, matthew and sung hoon spend those years together, but in those 2 years, a lot has changed. Matthew knew something was off about the relationship he had with sung hoon. Sung hoon was giving matthew a cold shoulder. Matthew didn't let this ruin him and sung hoon, he suffered a whole year putting up with sung hoon's coldness. After those coldness, matthew realized something about their relationship... it was never official... no one said that they are in a relationship... matthew just assumed that they are... but looking back now, it was never cleared, their relationship was never discussed... what they had is unlabeled...

After the book launch, Matthew went to a hotel and looked for a specific room. Matthew knew the owner of the hotel so he can do the things he wants in there, matthew asked for a specific room key, the girl at the front desk was hesitant at first, but finally gave in. Matthew went there, and opened the door to that room, he slowly entered the room and was greeted by moans, the more he walked towards the bedroom, the louder the moans become, when matthew is finally in front of the bedroom's door, he sighed first and opened it.

There... he saw..... the first guy he ever loved.... the only guy he trusted.... the guy he considered to be his last.... that guy is now on top of a woman, reaching his peak. When he finally reached his peak, he noticed matthew on the door looking at them with a dead cold look. He quickly went to matthew, "matthew I'm so sorry" sung hoon said and he was gonna hug matthew but he didn't let him. "Why?" Matthew asked and sung hoon can't looked at him in the eye at first, and sung hoon finally looked at him straight in the eye, "i want to be with a woman"....

Those words is now buried on matthew for eternity. But he just accepted it, because he knew it was coming his way.

For sung hoon's story, matthew is the last stepping stone he had to climb for him to be able to free himself and for him to be able to open up himself to others. Matthew was the guide he had to follow to express his emotions freely. Sung hoon caged himself fro the world and he let his past weight him down. Matthew is the most important person he had to meet. And now that Matthew's purpose on sung hoon's life is over, he's no longer necessary on sung hoon's next mountain to climb. Matthew knew that this will happen, from the first time they encountered each other, but still he continued to walk on this past even though he knew how it will end. No matter what sung hoon had done, Matthew forgave him, because from the beginning he understood the consequences of the path he had taken. For sung hoon, matthew was the help he needed to get on with his life, but for matthew sung hoon us the first and the last person he will love sung hoon is his happiness. After years, sung hoon had his own family, having a beautiful wife together with his two sons. While matthew wrote his last book about his life, and he finally rested. After years and years of hard works and suffering, he can finally rest on a beautiful paradise made specially for him...
