Do You Remember?

Prologue

"Stop! Wait!" I ran towards the taxi.

The taxi stopped as I stopped running.

I hope he'll remember me.

His mom stepped out of the car then followed by him.

"Luke!" I hugged him tight. He hugged me back too.

"Don't worry Charlotte. I will be back. Soon..." he answered.

"Don't forget about me okay? Please remember our good times. Write letters when you're in there already, 'kay?" I said.

"I won't forget about you. You're my bestfriend. I'll miss you.."

"I'll miss you too."

Her mother shouted, saying that they need to go. The plane will be leaving soon. I'll be left here in Australia, alone. Not with my bestfriend.

It's so hard to spend time without my childhood bestfriend. It seems so weird. It doesn't feel like my normal days.

I said my last goodbye to him before he went back inside the taxi. He'll be back...Soon...

We were so close. I wish he'd be successful as he dreams. We really have a lot of similarities like, we both love Music. We're always looking for food. Just..... a lot.

I walked to my house again. I'm going to live in this boring house again. No laughing,no hugging,no joking, no food fighting. It doesn't seem right. I'll just really miss him. We've been bestfriends since we're like... 2 years old? And now we're 13... I hope I could see him again. One of my plans after college is to go to London. I'll find him.

"Char!!" My little bro shouted, running towards me then giving me a hug. He is such a cutie. He's not the type of bro who is really annoying. He's a sweet 7 year old boy.

"Joshy!!" I shouted back then gave him a hug too. "How's your day?"

"Good! It's really good.. and yummy!" He said, smiling.

"Yummy?" I said,confused

"Mom and I baked cookies! Oh and sorry, I've been really hungry so I...I kinda ate the cookies.."

"Aweee! That's okay"

"Will you miss Lukey?" He changed topic.

"Well, of course I will. He is my bestfriend. How about you? Do you have a bestfriend?"

"Youuuu!" He said, giggling.

"Awww! That's so sweet of you! I love you Joshua!" I hugged him.

"But it's not as much as you love Luke right?" He asked.

"You're so young to know these things. I'll just rest."

"You're not gonna rest... you'll think about him...." he teased.

"Ugh. If you don't stop, I'll not buy you your favorite Rice Krispies!"

"But Mom or Dad could buy..." he said.

"Ughhh!!" I ran towards my room.

My room. It just kept on reminding me our good times together.

Should I blame myself for hanging mine and Luke's picture everywhere?!

Is that really how I act?? I just thought that I'm overreacting... Pshh.

I layed down my bed and cuddled with the big teddy bear Luke gave me during my birthday... LUKE AGAIN?!

As I forced myself to sleep, finally, I did.
