I pushed the door. Alice was not here. I looked at my watch. It's 12 o'clock. It's school hour. I closed the door and took my luggage upstairs. I went straight to sleep. Jet lag.

I woke up when I heard loud noise. I rubbed my eyes and stratched a few times. Then I changed my position from laying to sitting. I saw Alice and Andrew. They're talking so loud. I don't know whether they really didn't noticed me or they pretend they didn't noticed me.

"Alice," I called her name from my bed. They both turned around and looked surprise.

"Nat!" Alice screamed. "I thought you'll be gone for a few days," she said.

"Okay. But now I'm here. Can you guys talk slowly? I'm sleepy. Jet lag," I rubbed my eyes.

"Oh. We're sorry," she said. "Come babe. Let's give Nat some rest," she grabbed Andrew's hand.

"Thank you. I'll repay you," I said before I went back to sleep.

I woke up from my beauty sleep when it's already night. I woke up because I was hungry. Alice was not here. Maybe she's still talking with Andrew somewhere. I washed my face. My face looks pale. I sighed. I gargled a few times.

I wiped my face with the towel. It's 8. My stomach was growling. I'm starving. I left the room and went to the dorm cafeteria. Luckily there's less people there. Even though it's dinner time. Where's everybody? Well, who cares. I'm starving. I need to feed myself with foods.

After I finished fill up my food tray, I place it at my usual spot. Next to the window. It's night. The view must be way more pretty than during daylight.

I was about to take a bite when suddenly a book being throw in front of me.

"What the hell?" I looked who's responsible for throwing the book in front of me. It's Jacob.

"Where the hell did you go? Alice told me that you'll be away for a few days. And you're gone like yesterday and today you're here? She told me that you want me to copy notes for you. So I did. Now, tell me. Everything," he emphasized the word everything.

"Thanks for the notes. Tell me 101 reasons why should I tell you where I was going. It's not your business. Mind your own business," I finished my meal. I was about to go when suddenly Jacob grabbed my wrist. I was startled. I looked at him.

"Tell me. It's my business," he said with his serious face.

"Let me go," he automatically let go of my wrist. "Thanks for the notes," I continued before I left him and went straight to my room.

I can't concentrate on what was being taught by Ms. Sara. My mind rambling elsewhere. Not in the class. I sighed. I wrote whatever on the blackboard to my book. I don't even care if it was something that must be wrote or not. Then a small piece of paper was being inserted under my arm. It's clearly from Jacob. I recognize it by his handwriting. Messy handwriting. I looked at him.

"What?" He pointed his index finger towards the paper. Wanting me to read it. I sighed.

'Whats up with that gloomy face?'

I looked at him. "Nothing," then turned my face looking at the blackboard.

"Write it down," he whispered.

'Nothing'

I passed the paper to him. It took a few seconds for him to pass it back to me.

'Something wrong, right? You can tell me. Im here'

'Its okay. Im fine. Thanks'

'Liar'

He smirked at me when he passed the paper.

'Whatever'

The moment I passed the paper to him, the bell rings meaning the school has over. I packed my bagpack and rushed out from the class.

I walked through the hallway and went to my locker. I unlocked my locker and put away a few things. Inside the locker, I stick my family picture against the door of the locker. I rubbed it softly. I looked at it. We all looked happy together. Wide smile. I smiled as I looked at the picture. I don't know what to do. I closed the locker door and locked the locker. I'm not hungry. I don't feel like eating. I don't want to be disturb. I want to be alone. I walked outside of the school. I went to the field. There's a few people there. Ready for their practice. Some of them were stretching.

Then I see Jacob. He's getting ready for football practice. I stared at him. 'Tell me. It's my business' I don't understand why he said that. Why he really want to get into my world. I don't even bother want to get into his world. Why should he be so concern about it. I looked at him as he kicked the ball passing it to his teammate.

"Cool," I whispered to myself. My eyes stick with him. I looked everything he do. Everywhere he go.

Then our gaze meet. He saw me. Oh god. He waves at me. What should I do. Wave back to him? No way. I'm mad at him just now. And then suddenly I want to wave back to him? Not in million years. I get up and make my way away from the field.

I get inside the school. Empty. I went to the library. Maybe I could relaxes my mind by reading. I search through the library. There's nothing caught my interest. I end up fall asleep in the library.
