I walked into the arena with a smile on my face as Nikki and Brie Bella trailed behind me. They were my riding buddies and I was pretty excited about it. I mean, they were pretty cool and really easy to get along with. And they were accepting of new people to the roster. I followed them to the Diva's locker room and then they introduced me to some of the girls in there. Natalya was the first and let me tell you, I've never met anyone nicer. Ever. Then was Naomi and Cameron and they were two girls I'd love to hang out with eventually. Although, Cameron seemed a little obnoxious. Then there was Eva Marie. She was cool but seemed devious at the same time. I was gonna make sure I didn't get too close to that girl. And then there was Alicia Fox. She'd been here for quite a while. Longer than any other Diva on this roster. And finally, there was Tamina and AJ Lee. They were kind of rude and just kept to themselves which was fine by me because I wasn't interested in being friends with them anyway.
I grabbed my attire out of my bag and walked into the changing area before slipping out of my street clothes and into my gear. I smoothed it out in the mirror before I stuffed my street clothes back in my bag and turned to Nikki and Brie. "Thank you guys for showing me around and being so accepting. I really appreciate it." I said.
"No problem." Brie said. "Do you want us to come with you to hair and makeup? I mean we have to get ours done too. You have to be ready at all times in case something happens and they need you to go out there last minute."
I smiled. "Good to know." I said. "But you know, I think I'm gonna give my sister a call real quick before I head down there." They nodded and smiled at me before I walked out of the locker room. I walked down the hallways trying to find an empty one while I scrolled through my phone to find Taryn's name in my contacts which only lead me to bump straight into something hard and fall straight on my butt and my phone to fly out of my hands. I looked up and realized I didn't bump into something but someone. Roman Reigns. Who also had my phone in his hands. He must have caught it so it wouldn't fall on the floor and break.
"Are you alright?" he asked as he held his hand out to me.
I took his outstretched hand and he pulled me up. "Yeah. I'm alright." I said as I dusted myself off before looking at him. "I'm really sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going."
"That's okay." he said. He handed my phone back to me and smiled. "You must be new."
"I am. I debut tonight." I said.
"Well in that case, I'm Roman Reigns." he said as he held his hand out.
I smiled and shook it. "Katie Goldberg." I replied.
"Goldberg? As in Bill Goldberg?" he asked.
"He's my uncle." I said. "But that's not the reason I got here."
"Oh, you don't have to tell me that. I know how it is to be connected to a big family in this company. Everyone looks at you and thinks you get here because of your name. I've had that happen plenty of times already. You'll get used to it." he said.
"Yeah. I just, hope everyone sees me for my ability and not my name." I told him.
"I'm sure they will. You're on the main roster for a reason." he said.
I chuckled. "I guess you're right." I said.
"Well it was nice to meet you and good luck tonight." he said.
"Thank you. And it was nice to meet you too." I replied.
"Try not to bump into anyone else." he said with a smile. A beautiful smile at that. No, Katie. No. You cannot go there.
"I'll try." I chuckled as he walked away. I opened my phone back up and clicked on Taryn's name before holding the phone in front of me. I needed to see her face so I was calling her via video chat. It rang about three times and then her face popped up on my screen. "Taryn, thank god you answered." I said.
