As night fell upon Got-Him City dark storm clouds began to billow overhead. The clouds brought in a monsoon of near freezing rain that deposited itself into the decaying sewer system of the city. A massive bolt of lighting struck illuminating the face of a tattered man. This was no ordinary man, this man was none other than the Woker! The Woker was quite fond of the sewers of Got-Him, he was raised in them as legend would have it. His parents had abandoned him in the sewers after an unplanned pregnancy they were not prepared for. Abortion was highly illegal in Got-Him City and could be punishable by death. These laws had been put into place by none other than the Father of Clark Pent. The Woker's parents had previously worked for Clark's father, Thomas Pent, but were laid off after a massive budget cut was put into place over the Social Service Department of Got-Him City. The budget cut was "justified" after an investigation was conducted by The Pent Corporation revealing that many residents who received social services from the city were reselling the essential goods they received for drugs. When the Woker's parents received the news they were being fired by Pent they waited in the parking garage of the Pent Corporation Headquarters and bludgeoned Thomas Pent to death in front of his son Clark who was conveniently there for no other reason than to  link this story together. Oh yeah and Clark's Mother, Martha Died in a plane crash later that day on her way back home from having an affair with a Puerto Rican man on the Pent Private Island. After these double traumatic events Clark was now an orphan and looked after by the Pent's family butler Albert.

The Woker was now a man in his mid 30's. His hair was mangy and dyed in multiple fluorescent colors. He spent his days in the sewer reminiscing on his past life peeking out of manhole covers at the impoverished world above him. He would sometimes squat for hours watching the plights of people of color who had no way out of this lifestyle except to revert to criminal activities. As time would pass  Woker began to notice many of the properties in the neighborhood above him were being purchased by well to do white men who saw to exploit these people of color by developing shopping centers and breweries in the neighborhood until they owned nearly half of land the neighborhood was situated on. By that point they were able to influence the prices of rent in the area until the original inhabitants of the neighborhood had no other option but to leave their old homes and move into newly constructed project housing constructed by The Pent Corporation. Woker was enraged as he watched everyone he had come to indirectly know and love vanish and get replaced by the fumes of falafel shops. The run off from these newly constructed businesses had also began to kill many of the sewer rats Woker had befriended.
Woker was no fool though, he would scroll through his Twitter feed daily and soak up all the knowledge he possibly could. It was during one of these Twitter sessions that Woker learned the importance of checking his privilege and swore to himself despite the color of his skin he would do anything in his power to protect the people of color above him!
