The Robbery

The Law

Solomon slowly openend his eyes as he regained full consciousness surrounded by fellow hostages who urged him to remain still to avoid bothering the injury he sustained earlier. Meanwhile in the Manager's office, Slim was carefully going through the remaining documents and throwing what he deemed invaluable, he couldn't find anything of importance to them.They were completely unaware the alarm had been triggered by the manager using the cover of showing them the records.
The alarm button was put in place to alert security agents in case of a security emergencies like in this case.

"Boss, it's all useless, there's nothing here. I suggest you call the big Dog and inform him, his sources gave us wrong intel" Slim tells the Boss then continued skimming through the remaining documents.

"Let me have my phone" The boss ordered
Barely 3 mins into the call with the big Dog, Sirens engulfed every sound in the perimeter.
"Let me call you back, we have a situation on ground"
The boss ended the call as 2colour cracked his gun.

The manager felt some sense of relief after knowing the panic button worked, hoping something will be done soon to stop what was happening.

"Don't worry about the police, it's just a show off, I dont want any of you to engage. Move the hostages to another room". As 2Colour was about to leave
"One more thing, bring one of the hostages" The boss ordered.

2 colours left to excecute the new orders
"I need you all to stand up one by one and move to the room on the left, if you try anything stupid, you'll find out soon that this is not a James Bond movie"
Slowly, with their hands  behind their backs with plastic grips, the hostages moved to the room individually.
Solomon stands up to join the rest

"Youuuu, where do you think you're going to?" 2colour yells at Solomon
"You're coming with me"

"Please sir, the injury he sustained is quite fatal, he should be allowed to join us so we can take care of him"
One of the hostages pleads with 2colour to allow Solomon join them.

"Shut your mouth or that will be the last thing you'll say, join him. Moveeeeee!" 2colour angrily snapped back at the hostage

Tension was quickly mounting as the number of officers increased.

"Boss, we need to do something fast, we are surrounded"

"I'm fully aware. Bring the hostages" The boss ordered.
2 colour pushed Solomon and the man who pleaded on behalf of Solomon.

"On your knees, the both of you" The boss continued
"Mr manager, let's make things a little more interesting, I've been gentle on you for while now and I still don't know how the police figured out what was going on so I'm gonna ask you one more time, and don't waste my time. My employer isn't a man you want to mess with."
"Where is the document?"

"I swear sir, I have no idea what you're talking..." Bang, a loud gunshot, body thuds on the floor beside Solomon. Gripped by intense fear, Solomon trembled.

"The innocent man's life was in your hands. You're complicating this for the both of us you know" The boss speaks slowly as he cleans the tip of his gun on the body of the man lying beside Solomon.
The manager was in a state of shock, sweating profusely as his heart raced. Blood and fragments of brains were on the managers face and anyone close enough.

"There's also two of you left, you know what that means, don't you Mr manager?"

"Pleaseeeeee, don't do this. They don't know anything about this, they are our clients, pleaseeeee they don't deserve this"
The manager pleaded with the boss who was at that point, pointing his gun at Solomon.

"I'm going to count backwards starting from 10, if you don't provide me with what I'm looking for, you'll have two bodies on your hands and guess what, it won't end there."

Slim who couldn't bear the blood splatter on white wall and the pool of blood from the just murdered hostage left to use the bathroom.

"10, 9,8,7"

Solomon trembled more as the countdown got closer to 0, all he could think of was what is he doing there, why didn't he just do what he was supposed to do earlier.

"6,5,4" The boss continued counting

"Pleaseee don't do this" the manager pleaded

"3"

"Boss, you might wanna take this. It's the big dog" 2colour interrupted.

"We're getting close" The boss says after answering the call.

"You have to abort the mission, right now. There's no time to explain" The big dog who sounded pretty much agitated tells the leader of the gang. Turns out the manager has been saying the truth all this while, the bank wasn't in possession of the document.

"You were 13 seconds away, you're a lucky man. Meanwhile, see you around next time"

Taking stacks of bills from the safe to compliment for lost time and the police on their neck. The robbers quickly locked the manager and Solomon inside the safe, and made their way to the exit which was an underground sewer that leads to a larger sewer 5 blocks away. Everything was carefully planned until they were met by police men on the other side of the drain.
Unknown to them, while the first batch of officers attempted to negotiate the release of the hostages, the others had calculated possible exits then set up a perimeter and some men to prevent the robbers from getting away.

"Boss, I see flashlights coming from the end of the tunnel. Shit, it's the police. I suggest we head back to the bank" 2coloured alarmed by the new development alerted the boss.

"You heard him, let's head back. Slimmmmm"

"Sir" Slim moves closer to the boss

"Plant those bombs here" The boss ordered

After successfully planting the bombs, the robbers headed for the bank. Made their way in while the hostages remained locked , meanwhile the special unit of the police force had made their way to the bank through the vent. On getting to the bank, the robbers were met by men from the special unit.

"Hands up. Let me see your hands" the commanding officer ordered.
The robbers stood unresponsive and time was running out.

"I'm not gonna ask you a........"
Slim makes a sudden movement to detonate the bombs with the controller on his hand. The officer open fire on him, 9 bullets finding their way to his mid section and 3 more as he fell to the ground.

At this point, 2colour was ready to go all in when the Commanding officer ordered him to drop his gun. The other three robbers followed suite, went on their knees.
As the officers restrained the robbers, the timer on the bombs in the sewer were counting down because Slim somehow managed to push the button.

"Move out, there's a bomb in the building. Move everyone out" the commander orders his men.

Everyone rushed out, unknown to them, the bombs were in the sewer and the remaining officers were there.
On realizing the bombs might be planted in the sewer too, the commanding officer quickly grabbed his walkie talkie

"Leave the sewer, I repeat, leave the sewer"

But it was two late, the bombs exploded killing six of the officers in the sewer which were making their way to the bank.
