A/N: i'm not happy with this ending or this story but go read the other story i'm starting. i like that one much better

i woke up and frank was asleep next to me. i curled up in a ball and felt guilt rush over me. i slowly got out of bed and walked downstairs. i checked the calendar and noticed a weird date.
DECEMBER 10TH EXCAVATION DATE

i pondered at what that could mean but decided to brush it off. i put on one of franks coats and sat on the porch.
i noticed a pack of cigarettes in the pocket and took one out and lit it.

i sat out on the porch for a while.
it must've been a pathetic sight to see.
i heard the door rattle and saw frank come outside.

"hey" he said in a raspy voice
"hey" i smiled back
"since when have you smoked?" frank sat down next to me
"i used to smoke every now and then but you can't hold it against me" i said taking a inhale.
frank took the cig from me.
"you might as well share" he said

i rested my head on his shoulder. i felt him snake his arm around my waist and pull me closer.
"bunny it's cold, come on let's go in" frank said breaking the silence
"no" i mumbled
frank scooped me up bridal style and took me inside. he plopped me on the couch and brought me some food.
"i'm not hungry" i said
"bunny please eat" frank sighed
"fine" i took the plate from his hand

"hey when's your birthday?" i asked frank

"december 10th. why?" frank responded

"thats soon" i said.
"let me take you out on dinner on your birthday" i followed with
"i'm not sure-" frank mumbled
"please let me do something for you" i cried

"fine." frank sighed

-jump to the day off-

i wore a blue dress that flowed
frank was wearing his normal suit and tie

we got into the car. the restaurant was a while away.

"thank you" i said
"for what?" frank asked
"for taking care of me" i smiled
"bunny it was amazing taking care of you." frank said
"i love you" i rested my hand on franks hand
"i love you too" frank was cut off by a bullet through the back window

our car was getting shot at.
frank pulled over to the side of an alleyway.
"get out of the car" frank said as he put on his mask
i ran into the alley.
and i'm back where we started

"on one" frank whispers
i nod back at him
"3...2...1"
we take off sprinting the sound of gunshots following. suddenly a sharp pain hits my abdomen.
"shit" i mumble
"what do i do?" i say to frank.
he looks around for a moment.
"fuck it" he says as he picks me up and starts running
we make it to a back alley and he lays me down on the floor. he starts taking off his bunny mask.
"frank you have to leave" i say in between coughs as i pull his mask back onto his face
"no" he mumbles
"frank i said leave" i cry
he stands up slowly and turns around.
"i'm coming back for you" he says
"no you're not" i laugh
as he walks away i scoot over to a wall and grab my abdomen.
"that's probably gonna leave a mark" i mumble.

everything faded. i woke up in a hospital room.
frank was fast asleep next to me.  i sat up and frank woke up

"hey" he said his voice raspy 
"hey" i responded
"how are you?" he asked
"i'm just tired." i laughed.

"hey bunny. if i asked you to run with me, would you?" frank said
"yeah" i smiled
"then let's run" frank sat up.

frank kissed my lips and pulled out a ring.
"nows as a good of a time than ever" he laughed
"you nerd" i chuckled whilst i kissed him.
