ONE

Celia's POV

"What movie are we watching?"

Aaron rummages through his movie collection and picks out Paranormal Activity 2. I look at him and he laughs.

"I'm joking. What do you wanna watch?"

I smirk and pull out Mean Girls.

"Really?"

I nod and put it in. "You should know that I'm only watching this because I love you" I blush and smile.

We finish the movie and I start to head out since we don't share an apartment.

"I'll come over tomorrow after work, ok?" He nods and hugs me. "Talk to you later, love you" I smile and say 'love you' back.

When I get home, I see someone over by my mailbox. Then they just start walking towards the house across from me.

I walk to the mailbox and open it to see a letter.

'Dear Celia,

I know we haven't talked in a long while, but I wanted to know if maybe you wanted to go do something with me? You have certainly gotten hotter over the years. Talk to Ya soon love

Love, Ben'

Ben. Ugh, I just wanna throw up to the sound of his name.

Ben was one of Hayes' friends that would hurt me. He wasn't the worst one but he was still mean to me.

I crumple the letter and throw it on the ground, walking back to my house.

I step in and close the door, locking it. I get to my kitchen and grab a banana. I then walk to my room and lay on my bed on my phone.

I look through my feed on Instagram and see something that catches my eye.

It's a picture of Hayes, I don't even know why I'm following him in the first place.

His caption reads,

"@hayes_instagram: Just found a new house! Hoping to move there soon!"

Wow. Like I would really care. Who would care for something like that?

I scroll through and just start getting bored.

Getting up, my phone vibrates from the table next to my bed. It's a text from Haylie, my best friend since 8th grade.

She was actually the first person to befriend me at my new school in 8th grade. I thought I wasn't cool enough to be friends with her but she actually accepted me.

-text- Haylie<3: I think you might get a new neighbor

Confused, I text her back an 'ok..?'

How would she know if I was getting a new neighbor?

I push the thought back and just start cleaning since I'm bored.

I still can't get that neighbor thing out of my mind. I tried forgetting about it but it didn't work.

What did she mean?
