Celia's POV

"Should we go over and welcome him?" Haylie looks at me.

I shrug "I don't know"

"Maybe he has changed, Lia. You never know. We should invite him over for dinner or-"

"What are you in 7th grade? Invite him over 'dinner'?" She giggles and shrugs.

I process it through my mind and mentally lightbulb.

"Haylie, that's not a bad idea. Wanna go over and invite him now?" She smiles and nods.

We reach his house, while I'm shaking.

I knock and wait for an answer. Soon enough he answers and smiles at the sight of us. "Hey Celia, and who's this?"

He motions to Haylie and I point to her. "This is Haylie"

He smiles and nods. "Nice to meet you Haylie"

"So Hayes, we, uh, wanted to know if maybe you wanted to come over for dinner, I don't know-"

He interrupts me and smiles. "I'd love to"

To be honest. I'm a little worried about tonight. He's coming in less than an hour and I'm already shaking. What if he hasn't change? What if he's still the same bully he was years ago?

I finish my hair and walks downstairs. Haylie has finished a while ago so she is setting the table up.

"Are you inviting Aaron?" I look at her and process it.

"Should I?" She shrugs and looks down while setting the table.

"I would. Just in case"

I nod and go to my phone.

-text- Me: Heyyyyyyy so me and Haylie invited Hayes over for dinner. Wanna come?

Instantly I get a reply. Not the one I was looking for though.

-text- Aaron: you're inviting Hayes? That's it. I'm coming

I text back ok and go help Haylie.

Soon enough, Hayes arrives.

I go and open the door and he smiles a little. "Hey" I say hey back and let him in.

He walks around and he seems like he's judging my place.

"Nice house"

I thank him and the door opens. Aaron walks in and grabs my hand kissing me on the cheek.

"Oh hey, Aaron?" Aaron nods and squeezes my hand.

I could feel the tension so I immediately bud in.

"Ok. Who's hungry?" They nod and we walk to the table.

Haylie is already siting down and waves to the guys. They smile back.

"So you're saying that Nash is big now?"

I play with the food on my plate as Haylie asks him questions.

"Yeah. He started making these short little funny videos and he got really good at them. Soon enough, he was known everywhere"

She nods and looks at me. She mouths 'you okay?' and I nod.

"Ok. I better get going. I have something to go do"

Aaron stands up surprisingly. "Bye Lia, bye Haylie. Hayes, it was niw to see you again" He kisses me on my cheek and walks out.

That kin of surprises me. Aaron isn't the kind of guy to just leave in the middle of something.

"Ok.. So what do you guys wanna do now?"

We decide on a movie and I walk in to the kitchen to grab snacks. I feel someone watching me so I turn around and see Hayes there.

"You should know that I'm glad I moved here. At least I know someone around here"

He chuckles and I nod.

"Is there something wrong? Did I do something?"

I shake my head and finish what I'm doing.

"Celia, just tell me, is something wrong?"

I shrug and try to walk by but he grabs my arm tightly, making me whimper.

"Don't ignore me. When I ask a question, answer it"

I nod and he walks away.

We get into the living room and Hayes speaks up.

"Sorry guys. I've got to go. See Ya later" he smirks at me and walks out.

He hasn't changed one bit. He's still the jerk he was five years ago.

So also, I've decided to do something a little different in this book. I know ya'll (hehe ya'll) might have thought he was gonna be a nice person just right off the back but I've decided to change stuff up. So enjoy:)
