Beyond the Districts

We took the elevator down to the lab. No one was using it, during emergencys its off limits. When we got to the lab Marcus made Katniss stand on the matel platform. He turned something on and hit a couple of butons. Then the machine roard to life. Marcus typed on the key bored which made something pop up on the screen, it read, Are you sure you want to erase this persons "loving" memories?

Immediately Marcus pressed yes. "NO!" I yelled from behind him, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Marcus then turned around and said In a loud raspy voice going over the emergency alarm, "If she wants to leave she must forget and let someone else's do her job!" It me awhile to understand but I knew what he ment so I nodded in agreement. Katniss would never leave without her family. So he was gonna clone her and earse her memory so that she only rembered wanting to eascape and her survival skills. The machine then started to make loud noises and after 30 sec it stopped.

Out of what looked like a closet came out another Katniss she ran straight pass us shouting Prims name. That was her problem now, Ours was to find a way out and not get killed.

We ran back down the hall to the elevator and instead of following everyone else down to floor 40, we went up to the first floor. We started to run through a maze of halls. Marcus knew this place well so he lead the way. Right behind him was Katniss and then I was behind her.

We kept running until Marcus stopped and said "Let's go in hear and get weapons!" I barely heard him because of the alarm but I nodded at the same time Katniss did.

We went into a huge room with a high roof. There were hover crafts every where and bombs all stacked up. I was the first to spot the guns and knives and swords. We rushed over to the weapons and I quickly picked up a vest and belt that could carry my weaponds. I also stuffed a back pack with pure amo.

I picked up a pistol and some type of medium size snipper. Marcus got a shot gun and a pistol. When I saw him pick up a machete I diced to grab one to. Katniss got the bow Betee had made her and picked up three arow straps full with arows. She also got a pistol and a machete. Marcus was offering to take one of her arow strapes when it happened.

The first bomb hit near by with a loud crash. It knocked us over and all three of us hit the ground hard. I quickly yelled run and Marcus again lead the way out, we were headed towards the exit.

Every other 5 seconds a bomb would hit the ground sending us falling to the ground. But it wasn't until we reached the exit door that they hit right above us. It sounded like the world was cracking in half. It was a sound that made me go death for a few seconds and when I looked behind us, way down the hallway the roof came tumbeling down.

We tried getting to our feet but then another bomb hit right above us sending us back on the floor. What was giving our position away? I didn't know but as soon as the floor stopped shaking we ran out the door and up a long flight of stairs. At the top Marcus pushed the door open lighting up the dark stair way.

"Ok this is were it gets complicated!" He yelled over the loud booming. "We head straight for the the fence don't look behind you just run!" We then start to charge towards the fence that seems to move farther and farther away as we run. That's when I saw the hover craft fly right over us. But thats not what shocked me, what shocked me was that the boom it dropped was falling straight and me.

I started to run away and then when I was at least 10ft away from it I heard the booming noise. I felt a strong pain on my back and every thing went black...
