Beyond the Districts

Marcus's POV

I was a far from the explosion, But when I heard it hit I had to turn a round and see where it had hit. That's when I saw that Jason was on the ground and katniss was running back towards him.

I quickly ran and katniss was trying to tell me something but the hovercrafts booming was impossible to talk over. I quickly saw that Jason had been hit by rumble, he had cuts and bruises all over his face and arms. He's jeans were torn and a pics of glass was stuck to his foot.

There was no time to think about the injury's that I could make worse by lifting himso I just did. Katniss knew what I was thinking so we both ran out of the war zone, past the fence and into the woods.

Katniss led the way in to the woods. She knew everything in here, she knew what to do and where to find things like food and water. We ran until I felt that my lungs where gonna burst. Carrying Jason didn't help either. I believe I have been carrying him for over 2 hours. We finally stop when katniss found water.

It was wasn't just a pond it was a giant lake. "Across the lake..." Katniss said trying to catch her breath, "is a city. There where many romers going around districk 13 about. I've heard that some even escaped and reached it."

I tooke me a while to process what she had just said. "Good!" I exclaimed "we'll head that way." Lucky for use the was a wooden boat on the shore it was big enough to fit 5 people. I set Jason inside who was still unconsuios.

We then pushed the boat in to the water and got on. I gabed both pedals as we diced we would trade of. In at least 3 hours we would make across and hopefully Jason would be awake by then.
