Eremika but Jean 😳

How am I still cold?! I have a jacket, gloves, and sweatpants! At least I'll be home soon.

I shiver as soon as I walk outside of school. I feel like something's missing, but I don't know what. I blow hot air into my hands, then place them on my cold cheeks. My teeth are probably chattering right now. Damn winter.

I repeat the process of hot air until I hear a voice beside me.

"Are you okay?"

I turn to look at him. It's Jean Kirstein from my class.

"Ah, yeah. Just a little cold." I respond.

"Take this." He walks in front of me and I stop. Then, he wraps a red scarf around me. It's so soft...

"Warm?" He asks, then moves out of the way so we can continue walking.

"Yes, but you should take it back. It's yours." I answer.

"Don't be silly. It's yours now." He smiles straight ahead.

"You don't even know who I am, right? I can just buy one later, so take it ba-" I get cut off.

"Mikasa Ackerman. You're in my class. Do you think I'd forget someone so beautiful?" He says.

I stop walking in shock of what he just said.

"I- uh, I meant beautifully cool!" Jean laughs it off.

"Oh, uh, okay." I reply, then continue walking. I have to admit that it was adorable when he tried to hide it.

I ended up being cold all the time. The heaters in school never did the job for me, so I always kept the scarf that Jean gave me on my neck until I got home. I fidget a lot, and I end up rubbing the soft ends of the scarf. Hopefully nobody notices. I've also been walking home with Jean often. He's a nice person, and our conversations never get dry. His generosity and kindness is really what makes me feel so warm about him.

Spring has rolled around the corner, and now the weather is getting warmer.

"Aren't you gonna take that off?" Jean asks me.

I rub the ends of the scarf and smile. "Nah."
