Chapter 13

Hero's pov
' Jo, we've got to, we're going to be late already! ' i say while i tickle Georgie, and wait for Jo to finish. Tonight is our wrap party for AWF, we're going out for dinner downtown and we were supposed to be there at 7, but it's a 20 minute drive and it's already 6:45 pm. ' I'm done ' i hear Jo say and turn around. My jaw hits the ground as i see the pure beauty in front of me. She is wearing a simple, but amazing dress. It hugs every curve perfectly and shows her beautiful features in the best way. ' Jo, you're stunning ' i say before i place a kiss on her lips. ' Thank you, now, let's go ' she says as she opens the front door and walks towards the car. ' I can't believe the next movie will be the last ' Jo says she places Georgie in her car seat. ' Me neither ' i say with a small smile. Of course i'm sad that the next film will be the last, but i can't help but smile at what these movies have given me. They have given me the people i love most, and i can't imagine my life without them.

As we walk into the restaurant, Georgie on Jo's hip en Jo and me holding hands, were greeted by a smiling cast and crew. ' Hi guys ' Jo says as we sit down. As usual, it's a really fun dinner and we laugh a lot. As we're almost finished with our meals, Anna stands up to get everyone's attention. ' So guys, here we are, the wrap party/dinner for After We Fell. I can't explain how thankful i am to have just wrapped the 3rd movie, but that wouldn't have been possible without you guys. First, the crew. Roger, i think we all can't say anything but that you're the most amazing director we know. You've brought all the movies to another level and i can't find the words to thank you properly. Jennifer, you are an amazing producer. You have amazing ideas and the movies wouldn't be the same without you. Our cast, filled with amazing actors and actresses. You guys really bring into life what i've written on paper. And last, but not least, Jo and Hero , and not to forget Georgie ' Anna says with a smile before she continues. ' We all know that After wouldn't be After without you two as Hardin and Tessa. You guys impress me every single time with your skills. You two both grew into the people you are now on set, you two fell in love, and now you have a beautiful daughter who makes all of us laugh. We're so lucky to have you guys as our leads. So let's raise our glass, and toast, to another movie and to all of you ' Anna says as she raises her glass, and so does the rest of the cast. I raise my glass for both me and Jo, since her head is on my shoulder and Georgie is sitting in her lap, playing with Jo's hands. ' I love you Jo ' i say as i kiss her head. ' I love you more ' she says with a huge smile on her face.

' Have a safe flight guys, text me when you're in London ' Anna says before she gives both of us a hug and Georgie a kiss on her forehead. We decided to do our goodbyes after dinner, since we're leaving really early tomorrow morning. ' We will ' Jo says before giving Anna one last hug. We say our final goodbye, and leave the restaurant. We get in the car and Jo rests her head on my shoulder as i start the engine. ' These 11 weeks have flown by, Georgie is already a half year old and the next movie will be the last, than this adventure is over ' Jo says and let's a single tear go. ' The After adventure might be over after the last movie, but ours will be far from over. Don't worry Jo, i'll still be here, i'll always be here ' i say and see relief wash over her face. Jo has always been scared to lose me for some reason, i don't know why she is, i'm not going anywhere without her. I love this woman way too much to leave behind, let alone break up with.

' Georgie is asleep, the suitcases are packed, i guess we're ready for tomorrow ' Jo sighs as she sits down. ' Are you excited to go home? ' i say as i kiss her head and caress it. ' I am actually, i really am. I miss London, i miss the days we wake up at 8, lay in bed with Georgie until 10, eat breakfast, and spend the rest of the day doing nothing ' she says with a smile. ' Yeah, so do i, and that's why i decided to take all of my time off until the next After movie, i have some small things to do, but that'll take 3 weeks at the most. I want to be with you two, enjoy every minute we have. I hope you're not mad ' i say with a small smile as Jo gasps. ' Hero, the reason i got mad sometimes when you took time off was because i didn't want you to cancel anything for me. I don't want to be a burden to you, but when you took time of during my pregnancy, i realized you're doing that because you love us and want to spend time with us, be there for us. I can't possibly be mad at you for loving us ' she says with a soft smile before she continues. ' I love it when you're home, that's the only way we're complete. I love you Hero, thank you for doing this ' she says and kisses me. ' I love you too Jo, never ever dare to forget that, okay? ' i say as we part. ' I won't ' she says before she gives me another kiss. I'm so madly in love with this woman.

Josephines pov
' Home sweet home ' i sigh as we walk into our living room, holding hands and with Georgie on my hip. As i try to put her down, onto the couch, she wraps her little arms around my neck and holds me tightly. ' You want to stay with mommy? ' i say with a huge smile on my face, moved by Georgie's way of showing me she wants to be with me. ' Of course she wants to stay with mommy, i can't think of a single reason why someone wouldn't want to be around you Jo ' Hero says wholeheartedly. ' I love you ' i say before i give him a kiss. How did i get so lucky with these two.

Just as i place the last shirt in the closet, i hear the doorbell ring. I rush to the front door, and i'm greeted by a smiling Martha and Mercy. ' Hi guys! ' i say before we hug. ' Come in, do you guys want something to drink? ' i say as we walk to the living room. ' Tea is fine, where is Hero, and my precious little granddaughter? ' Martha says with a smile. ' He is out with Georgie, getting groceries, he'll be back in an hour, you could come back than if you don't want to waste your time with me ' i say, making Martha and Mercy both huff at the same time. ' Jo, you are anything but a waste of our time, don't forget that sweetheart! ' Martha says with a genuine smile. ' How are you doing Jo, you look great by the way ' Mercy says. ' I do? Well, i'm holding up. Georgie is now able to crawl, and if i take my eyes of her for 2 seconds, she is gone. It takes a lot of energy, for both me and Hero, to make sure she is safe. The concept of sleep is also something Georgie doesn't care that much about. I love her, but she takes a lot of my energy, so i'm happy to be home and done with work, so i can give her my full attention ' i say with a small smile. ' You're an amazing mom Jo, i hope that one day i'll have the same skills as you ' Mercy says. ' I'm sure you would make an amazing mom Mercy, seeing you with Georgie only encourages that ' i say with a smile. ' Well, Jo is right, but you and your baby fever can wait a little longer Mercy ' Martha says, causing all of us to laugh. ' I'm always missing out on the fun parts ' i hear Hero say, who enters the room with Georgie on his hip and the bag filled with groceries in his free hand. Martha and Mercy rush over to Hero and give Georgie all the attention they have wanted to give her for these past 3 months. After a few minutes of cuddling and tickling, Georgie reaches her arms out to me, wanting to be near me. I always thought she would be a daddy's girl, but it turns out i was wrong, at least for now.

It's 1:57 am when i look at the clock next to me. I can't sleep, and it has to do with what happened this night. Hero and i were having dinner, and i was passing Georgie over to Hero, so i could eat. She started crying dramatically and only calmed down when she was on my lap. I wanted to shower after dinner, and passed her to Hero, but the exact same happened. She only wants to be in my arms, and i feel extremely guilty about that. ' Hero ' i whisper, hoping he is still awake. ' Yes Jo ' he says as he turns around to face me. ' I'm so sorry ' i say before bursting into tears. He pulls me close and i cry into his chest. ' I-i feel like i'm taking her away f-from you, and breaking the bond between you t-two ' i say after i calmed down a little. ' Jo, this is not your fault, at all. I called my mom when you were feeding Georgie. She told me i did the exact same, but towards my dad. I didn't want to be near my mom, i only wanted to be in his arms. After a few weeks, i stopped doing that, and it turns out to happen a lot more amongst children her age. Sometimes they feel the need of a specific affection, and Georgie needs that from you. Of course i rather not have this happen, but i'm not upset, with neither of you ' he says before he kisses me. ' What in the hell did i do to deserve you ' i say with a smile. ' I could ask the same question ' Hero says before he kisses me again.

i think i'm gonna make a huge time skip next chapter, to Georgies first birthday, but i'll tell you through that chapter what happened in between those months, would you guys be okay with that? let me know in the comments!
