chapter seven

Josh's POV:

I wondered how long this had been going on for.

My plan was half baked and wouldn't work until weeks from now.

I didn't know if i could trust her.
Wait.

What if y/n was lying.
What if she was trying to trick me into bringing the others into her plot..

I didn't know who I could trust anymore.
I felt lost.

I shook my head.
I needed to make my own plan,incase this was all apart of her trap.

But not now.

I walked downstairs to see Jaden, gazing out the window.

"Hey Jay?"

Silence.
The others were still asleep.

"Jay. Are you good?"

He didn't turn to look at me.

"Yeah. Why wouldn't I be? I'm just enjoying the outdoors."

I nodded uneasily.
"Anyways...We need food."

It was true.
We had to keep eating gas station food, mostly sandwiches and fruit.
It wasn't horrible but..man, it was not great.

"Fine, let's go now."

"Uhh...i don't know if Jaden, you know how griffin is with his "baby""

Griffin is REALLY touchy about his car.
Nobody else is allowed to drive it unless he's in the car.

"It'll be fine. We're just going to Walmart. He won't mind."

I shrugged.
We got in the car and Jaden started the car.

He reved the engine.
The van growled.

We drove for about 10 minutes to Walmart.
We parked and got out.

"Okay, Jaden? We have to keep it on the dL, okay? We can't risk getting caught."

He rolled his eyes and nodded.

"Alright we need bread, sandwich meat, vegetables, fruit, hmm and maybe a chicken. For tonights dinner."

We rolled the cart through the different isles, grabbing things on the list and extra things like cheese.

(Bold is jaden, regular is josh)

"Oooh, we need dunkaroos."
"What? No. We can't be here longer than we have to."
"Josh, you'll eat them too. I know it. Come on, just let me put them in the cart."
"Jaden! Put. Them. Down. Now."
"Josh! Let. Me. Get. The. Dunkaroos. Please."

I sighed.

"Fine!"
"Yes! Thank you josh. I won't forget this."

I rolled my eyes.
Sure, Jaden acted tough but he was like a child.

We went to the checkout and i payed the cashier and got the hell out of there.

We got in the car and jaden drove us home while eating dunkaroos.

When we pulled in, We saw Griffin.
He was standing on the porch with his arms crossed.

"You took my baby!!"

Griffin yelled at us while we grabbed the groceries.
We put away the groceries while Griffin complained about how irresponsible that was etc,etc.

Eventually, griff got over it.
I couldn't shake that something unpleasant was stirring...
