Brothers

Together: part 1

Izaya and Shizuo made their way out of Ikebukaro station and headed towards Celty and Shinras apartment. The rain hammering down on the streets. "Izaya. We need to pick up the pace!" Said Shizuo towards Izaya.
"I'm going as fast as I can Shizu-Chan." Said Izaya slightly out of breath.
They started to pick up the pace and arrived at the apartment. They buzzed the intercom.
"Hello?" Asked Shinra
" Please! We need your help!" Said Shizuo who was slightly panicked.
"The door is open, let yourself up"

Shizuo opened the door and held it for Izaya as he went under Shizuos arm. They made their way to the lift and got in. The lift was old and made a slight creaking noise. They knocked at the door to Celtys apartment.

The door opened and there she stood. A woman dressed in full leather, and no head. She typed on her phone and showed it to both Shizuo and Izaya.
" what's the matter with you two?You're normally tearing each other's throats out by now" she typed
"We just found out we are brothers" said Izaya
She continued to type on her cell phone " what? How did you find that out?"
" Our mother decided to drop us a quick visit."

Celty ushered them into the apartment. They all sat on the sofa that faced the flat screen TV.
" we thought we could come to you. You see the thing is we are in trouble. Our mom said something about some men wanting to take us and kill us" Said Izaya with a slight tone of terror in his voice.
" if you would like you can stay with us for a while. This is the last place they would look.Shinra won't mind." She typed on her flip up phone.
" Are you sure? We don't want you to make a fuss" asked Shizuo.
She nodded.
" Thank you so much. You're the best!" Said Shizuo. The panic tone slowly disappearing from his voice.

Izaya sat on the sofa, staring out the window that overlooked Ikebukaro.
" what's the matter?" Asked Shizuo slightly concerned.
" nothing... It's just that I can't believe we are actually brothers. All these years of hating each other. And not knowing we are related, makes me regret everything I've done to you in the past."
Izaya said with tears streaming down his face.
" It's okay little brother" said shizuo as he wrapped his arms around Izaya shoulders " I'm here now."
They both hugged each other tightly. Izayas head resting on Shizuos shoulder.

As night fell, Shizuo stood on the balcony smoking his cigarette, looking into the horizon. Celty came out of the apartment and put her arm around his broad shoulders. She got her cell phone out.
"Hey. What's wrong?" She asked
" Nothings wrong. I was just thinking about stuff. Like what this "power" is" Said Shizuo
" I'm not sure to be honest. Look... Maybe you should go inside and get some rest. You must be exhausted" Celty typed
They both went back inside of the apartment.

Morning broke through the sky. Shizuo lay asleep on one of the sofas in Celtys apartment. There was duvet on the other sofa. Shizuo opened his eyes and yawned. He glanced over to the other sofa.
" Izaya!" He noticed he wasn't there.
Shizuo Shot up off the sofa and grabbed his Cell Phone from the coffee table. He dialled Izayas number frantically.
"Hello?" Said Izaya
" Where the Hell are you?" Asked Shizuo angrily
" Relax, I'm meeting my girlfriend" said Izaya on the other end of the line smirking .
" Please. Be careful little brother" Shizuo said concerned
" it's fine. I will be okay. Catch you later" said Izaya pushing the decline button.

Izaya made his way to the park in the middle of the city. He walked up to a girl with long thick brown hair. She was age 17 and was shorter than Izaya himself. She had bright blue eyes and wore glasses.
" Hey Katie. Glad to see you again"
Izaya kissed her. They held hands and wandered around the park.
" I love you Izaya. I never want to let go of your hand" Katie said clinging to Izayas arm with one hand on his chest
" I love you too" Izaya said

Izaya and Katie walked to the centre of the city. A car suddenly stopped in front of Izaya and Katie.
" Izaya Orihara! Put your hands in the air where we can see them!" Said a voice on a speaker phone
" Izaya? What is going on?" Asked Katie
" Katie. Get behind me" said Izaya calmly
