the journey to him

chapter 1

                My name is Adrena and the age of 17  , I am the Daughter to one of the Southern Water Tribe chiefs, Navier and unlike my father I have the power of fire bending. I have mastered it rather quickly than all of my classmates. Ever since I learned i could fire bend , my father decided to bring a fire bending teacher to the south in order to teach me . Some of the people were not comfortable with this idea of my fathers , since we are still at war trying to find peace and justice from the fire nation. i have heard stories from the people around me that the avatar is finally back but i still have yet to see him or her. 

             Since i have mastered fire bending quickly and close to perfection. I have been selected to soon go help the prince zuko of the fire nation with his skills. There have been many stories of him , how he is ruthless and cold to the people around him . How he is very impulsive and no pun intended but a bit of a hot head at times. i didn't agree that i would still have to serve him at teacher , but in order for the fire nation to stop attacking the water tribe and my people there was nothing much i could do .

         "Adrena!" 

I heard my father call me down to his thrown room. As i shuffled my way down to him i felt uncomfortable. Even though my father was a good chief , and he had mastered at pretending to be a good father as well he was quite the opposite of that . He would be cold and never talk to me , unless he needed something but he wasn't always like this . It all started after my mother disappeared.I was only 7 at the time , and my father never seemed to heal for it. 

      As i approached him i could feel the cold air in the room . 

"  Yes father , you called for me"? 

"As you know you are to leave for the fire nation to help the prince zuko".

    I nodded my head and just listened to him . 

"i want to let you know that i have prepared a boat to take you tomorrow , you shall leave earlier than expected". 

    I could not believe him, trying to push me away even more than he already has.I did not expect to have everything move so fast , it was too much . 

" But father .. i still have months before i am to leave , what about my friends and all of my other trainings?"

" I do not care , what you think or want . I am your father and chief , you will do as i say without a word . Do you understand that !?" he shouted.

   As much as i wanted to yell at him back , i knew that would only make things worse. so i took a deep breathe in and calmed down the intense heat i was feeling. 

"yes father , as you wish ." 

and without that saying anything else i left .

       Later that night i was just packing up my bag i would take with me. As i looked around the room i saw all the things that i loved about being here . The last thing that was left was my picture of my "family" that once had . It was a picture of my mother and father and i at the northern lights  festival. it was the last time our family was together , the last time i was ever truly happy. My mother had brown hair that was long with her brown red eyes , she has always worn her water tribe clothing , but since she was from the fire nation she always worn a small but beautiful red bracelet. I still have it and it is the only thing i have left of her besides my memories. My father was a true Southern Water Tribe citizen , he was brown hair as well but with his big blue eyes , he had once stolen my mothers heart. 

       I finally finished with packing , and as i look out my window i started to think of all the new possiablites that could happen in my journey to him . All the good and bad , but if theres one thing i know it is that i am scared . Scared to meet him and to finally see his true person of what he may be like . 

Alright thats the first chapter!! i cannot believe i am here writing a story ! i just want to thank you if you have read this far, and hopefully i will update soon . sorry for any mistakes im usally bad at grammar lol but anyways thanks again and hopefully you liked the first chapter. leave me some comments and share if you want .
